80V kobalt

Bought this for 80v kobalt - listed on back of Shakespeare package. As a reminder it’s left handed thread. No 2 labeled nut worked for me. It was very tough separating to get the nut in, but went well from there. Hopefully durable but not much choice for kobalt spare parts.

Not universal, not useful

String broke inside of head

Used this replacement head for a couple months now , It was always time consuming to get string thru the hole and hard to crank it up once you got it thru. now the string broke inside of head and cant get head apart. I could wrap string around the old style head just as fast as i can install string on this one. Going to get a new one different style going to try one you just cut pieces of line for. I wasted 25 dollars to only get a couple months use out of it.

Was a quick an easy replacement for my Craftsman cmxgtamd25sc model gas trimmer.

Does not have 80v kobalt parts to attach head

Says fits 80v cobalt but does not. None of the attachments worked

Everything about this product is horrible

The entire product is garbabge. I bought this and still cant get the cover to go back in and settle into place. So i tried to just feed the wire in and the wire refuses to push through. I have never been more mad at something I have bought. I should of just kept paying the absurd price for the individual wire on a different product. Do not buy this garbage!

Terrible product

1 - instructions were useless (worthless) for my Husqvarna trimmer. 2 - not really "universal" - I had to use parts from my old trimmer head just to make it fit. 3 - very difficult to feed the line during reload and then you have to crank it one notch at a time. 4 - Bump head broke on 3rd use and now I have to disassemble it just to get the head off so I can throw it away.

kobalt 40v

i had to cut the gold spacer off and use a m10-1.25 hex nut to get it to work on my kobalt 40v. but were good now.

works on Kobalt 80V kind of

Thanks to Ryan for his review which prevented me from returning this trimmer head. As he mentioned the Kobalt 80 Volt uses a standard direction nut vice the reverse threaded ones that come with the trimmer head. Lowes was sold out of the M10x1.25 nuts but I found a pack at Advance Auto that worked perfectly. Easy to install with the correct size nut and very easy to wind the line. I filled it with 16 feet of 0.080 line the first time. The instructions say it will hold 23 ft of that size. ...

Looks sturdy but is not universal

Although this product claims to be universal I could not get it to work with my weed trimmer. It looks like it is made of sturdy plastic and feels heavy but I could not get it to work with my Kobalt brand trimmer.

Well made, easy to use

Though I've owned a weed wacker for years this is the first time I've upgraded the bump head. I'm happy with the product, found it well made and simple enough to install (it came with all sorts of adapter parts in the box to fit most brands/models). The best part by far is how easy it is to load it with new string compared to my factory original bump head (you just load the string and turn). Once installed it stayed securely in place and worked smoothly. My only reason for not giving it 5 stars ...
