This is one of the best auto winders for string trimmers. Easy to load and no hassle taking off the spool.

Bump head

I brought this product in the past didn't like it because the bump head didn't hold up but I found them on clearance for five and change so I purchased five of them knowing that they won't last long. They last about one and a half months before I wore out bump head.

Easy Edger Head Swap

I have an 8 year old 2-Stroke Troy-Built Edger. It’s had 5 heads including the original. This is the sixth. While the paper instructions didn’t have every installation option, their web site had an easy to find video that guided me through a five minute process. Easy to load; used it twice so far. Bump and feed works great. Highly recommended.

Better than the original winder

The original winder on my TroyBuilt trimmer was worn and repeatedly jammed and snapped the line. This winder has metal grommets where the line comes through so the line doesn't get pinched and break. The line feeds every time I bump it to the ground and has not broken inside the winder. It has made trimming much less frustrating. I think this winder head will last longer due to the metal grommets and stronger construction.

This Shakespeare line winder for my replacement on my weed eater was a great choice . It was simple to install and really did a great job. I would highly recommend this product!

Too Much Trouble

This is THE most difficult trimmer head to spool that I've ever seen. For me, time is money and if my help is spending 30 min trying to get line on the trimmer, I'm losing money. Husqvarna makes a universal head that is comparable in price and much more user friendly.
