New life into my old weed eater.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to fix my gas powered craftsman weed eater. My husband was able to install it in about 20 minutes and it was ready to use. I'm able to load the spool myself now and just simply bump it to get more line to come out. I orginally wanted to swap out my electric dewalt weed eater head with this one but it wasn't compatible with my model.

Back Saver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just started using this and have enjoyed it thus far. Having to replace my string heads often, makes me dread using my weed wacker. Having this head makes it so much easier to replace lines. Also install was easy. Being someone who isn’t very DIY, I was able to do the changeover with ease!

Autowinder bump feed trimmer head

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so happy to have gotten this! I struggle with our weedwhacker and having to refill the string. This most definitely made a difference for me!!! Simple and easy to just pop into your weedwhacker and tap the head ti extend the line!

Heavy Duty

It takes a little getting use to loading it but it worked good when I use it. Its made very well. Much better that the stock one I got for my weed eater.

Easy to reload

Reloading trimmer string is as easy as it gets. The bump head works great, but, there's always a but, when the wire is extended by the bumphead, it give a pretty good amount so be cautious as it may be a bit too long. If you break the trimmer sring off completely, you have to open it up to re-thread it through the housing, but opening it is simple with two push tabs.

Decent bump head

I have a curved shaft that did not have a detachable head. Therefore I could not use this product. I did examine it and appeared to be well built and ease of use.

Didn't work properly

On a Bolens BL100 it does not work. String would come out. It actually went in when running. Called up the manufacturer Jarden Applied Materials.Said it was likely not compatible with the trimmer. They offered to send a fixed string head. Alos said that if i sent back the autowinder they would refund my shipping. However after several weeks I have no shipping refund and have not gotten what they promised to send.

Autowinder Weedeater Head

Line loads easily. Would be a 4 or 5 star rating, but the plastic end cap will not stay attached. It comes loose almost every time the head is bumped on the ground to advance the line.
