i have a cub cadet i have tryed several heads but this onr fit great and the bolt head thet hold it on is extended making maintenance a lot eazer

It to complicated to put on and the directions don't help at all

Easy to install and easy to load the string. The bump on the bottom is too big so you can't get a close cut to the ground

not a fan

Installed easy enough but when using .095 it jammed almost every attempt to advance the line. Maybe a smaller line size would advance the feed but I am not impressed.

I used this trimmer head for 3 hours one day and 3 hours the next and a tapping part broke piece of garbage

Lawn trimmer head spool

The product came with several pieces to attach the unit to the different trimmers, it just so happen that it didn't have the right connection for mines. Luckily I found a screw in my tool box to make the unit attach.

Universal application ?

The salesman said this replacement trimmer head should fit up to 99% of the trimmers out there. I could not make it work on mine. Seemed to be decent quality...not overly stout, but functionally designed with decent materials. I'd recommend the other 99% of trimmer owners give this one a try if they cannot find an exact OEM trimmer head.

Easy to install and works well

I was able to install this very easily and have used it once so far. Works great. Replaced another universal bump feed trimmer head. Line is easy to insert and wind on to the spool.

Not so "great product" UPDATE

After my first spool of line I went to refill and the bottom is completely shattered. Nothing is there. I'm no overly rough and take care of my tools. It is a bump feed so it should take a little punishment. I cannot get it to take line. This will be going back. I'll try my luck with a different brand of the same concept. Like the other reviewer mentioned, save your money and time.

POJ (piece of junk)

Do not and I repeat, do not waste your money. Anyone who has rated this product highly has not used it much. String retracts back into spool frequently so you have to take it apart and rewind the string. When it gets dirty (right away) you can't wind replacement string into it. Generally a piece of junk at a high price.

It's Simple and It Works

I've owned three "red" string trimmers, the same model but with a different brand-name, and all suffered the same fate. Eventually the bump advance failed, the trimmer ended up in the junk pile and I bought a new one. I saw the Shakespeare unit and Lowe's and I gave it a try. Instructions are poor - you'll have to figure it

Have not used this enough to see how it holds up, but the instructions are tiny, highly generalized and poorly illustrated. Expect to have to figure it out on your own.

Great product

I decided I was tired of loading 8 inch precut line into my "easy load" weedeater. This does exactly what it says it does and fit perfectly. The only downside is it seems a tad cheap and light yet still sturdy hence the 4 star rating. Since I've only used it once all I can give a review on is its functionality which is flawless so far. I would highly recommend picking one up. Btw I used it on an echo gt225
