Some thing is wrong with this Fertilizer. I used it this spring on Kentucky BG I planted last fall, on new spot seeding and older lawn. Noticed odd yellowing in spots of healthy grass.The grass blades had yellow streaks. there is Healthy grass next to these yellow bits. I moved clumps of healthy grass to clear a garden area and planted seed around the clumps. The clumps developed the yellow as did the perimeter of a larger new seed area. I purchased this product because I wanted to seed at the same time...when I first used it I had spots that "bleached" so I was pretty bummed to say the least...but low & behold the areas that discolored did in fact return to green ! I am an experienced lawn DIY'er & have used Scott's products for decades...I also use Tenacity which has same chemical that is in Triple Action "BFS"...now that I know how it works I feel it probably is best product in Scotts line of lawn products!

Turf Builder for Seeding

Turf Builder Triple Action for seeding worked quickly and helped my Scotts Sun & Shade grass seed germinate and get rid of any weeds in my lawn. Keep you updated as it flourishes into a luscious green .

Planted as directed but seed never grew, not 1 blade ever sprouted

Trash... Did not germinate or grow at all. A complete waste of money.

Great product

Worked

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scott’s Turf Builder grass seed dense shade mix really helped my lawn. I had a big patch under some trees where I thought grass would never grow. I used this seed and was amazed at how fast I was able to get grass to grow in.

Perfect for over seeding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seed worked great after I dethatched my lawn. I was a bit concerned because I thought I had ruined the lawn. I over seeded and in a couple of weeks the bare spots started to fill in. My lawn was saved. I won't worry when I dethatch next time.

Quick to take, make sure to water

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good product, put a good amount of effort into keeping the grass alive but my 2 dogs and a long drought made the grass go away after a few months, will update what the grass looks like when the winter months are over and it comes out of hibernation.

Works over and over

Didn’t work for me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did a 100sq ft area in the fall, grass grew well at first but slowly thinned out and all but disappeared in about 12 weeks. Followed instructions, watered etc… not much grows in the shade I guess! I’ll give it another shot in the spring.

Great for under trees and by garage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great seed. I placed the seed under a tree in the back yard and also along the garage that gets minimal sunlight but does get abundant indirect light. The seed came up quickly and stayed green until the winter.

Time will tell due to MN seasons

Fall seeding was a success

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to get this seed down in early October and at first I was a little concerned that I would not have enough time to for the seed to germinate and for the grass to be established before the first frost. In the end it all worked out. I used the seed for patching a few areas that were bare due to a crabgrass infestation. Overall about 85% of the bare spots were repaired and the lawn looked great. The best seed to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dark area grass seed ! I tried other seeds , only to waste time and money. I have a large tree that has a 10x10 area of yard in the shade. I would say it’s almost 3/4 of the day in the shade. I raked to ruff up the soil. Threw the seed down. Then I watered. And watered. Within a few days I seen sprouts. Then I had grass. It coved the bare area nicely.

Pretty Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grass seed was added to a shade area with limited if any sun and the product worked better than I expected during the summer season. This will be the first season for winter so I will know next season how it will perform over all. Otherwise, the grass in this area grew in pretty good. My lawn s watered every day regardless. So I do not know if they played a part in its growth.

it's growing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the grass has not had a lot of time to establish itself yet, but it did sprout and started to grow. the real proof of how good it is will be next summer after this winter and the following spring. used it on the north side of the house on a few sparse spots.
