Recommended product for every season

90% crab grass.
I seeded on fresh topsoil first week of April in the North East. If it weren't for crab grass, I'd have no grass.

Poor results
Planted tifblair centipede lawn. Used this product as prescribed with poor results. Did turn some new crabgrass white but still have a significant amount that is thriving from the watering. Wouldn't buy again as I still have a large amount of weeds. Centipede germinated with no issues, hoping it will take over soon.

We always buy Scotts shady mix
We bought it again this year. It grows great at first, but then we notice each year it starts to die out around this time. Is this grass short lived? Should we sew some more seeds? It comes back in the spring. Would like some tips, we are DIY people. We also fertilize and water our lawn.

Not the result I expected
Didn't stop the weed issue like we wanted. Got a lot of different types of weed action. Used regular TriAction for several years and been very happy. Thought this would at least reduce the growth similar to the regular. Grass came in well.

This product DOES grow grasses
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grass seed grows grass reliably. This is a quality grass seed as the the Scott’s label represents. Follow the direction and cover the seed with a little bit of dirt to discourage birds from dining and keep the area moist.

Great product!!!

I had a spot where the fence opens and the winter along with the dog really ran this spot down. I applied the soil with grass seed and the grass just popped quickly. I will continue to use over the spring/summer.
