NEW LID DESIGN IS STEP BACKWARD

I purchased one of these 6 years ago. It had metal bag retainers that restricted the removal of the bag and fell out constantly. That was the only downside to this product. This year, I purchased another one and to my surprise, the bag retainer was upgraded. Most unfortunately, the new design of the lid is terrible and annoying. It never stays closed! It keeps popping up, no matter whether it is a new bag or slightly filled. Seeing how this problem didn't exist before, the product doesn't delive...

Waste of my Money

Just bought this garbage can in white thinking I was getting a good deal on a nice looking garbage can for the kitchen, got it home, put a bag in it and no matter what I do the cover won't stay shut, which was the main reason for buying one with a cover i looked all over the can and nothing is broken or out of place, needless to say I wont be buying another one to replace it, good deal or not!

Lid does not stay closed

I've had this trash can for about a month and unfortunately I am less than satisfied. What's worse is my husband frequently comments on how much he hates this trash can (and that's saying a lot!).

3 yrs old now

I bought two of these cans 3 or more years ago. I am having problems now with the lids not staying closed. Actually I broke the tab on one of them. Overall, they have been great. Looking into buying two more. Just wish you offered different colors.

waste of money!

Worst garbage can I ever bought. After 1 day the lid will not stay latched. These are not cheap either. I thought I would spend the money for a better product and I'm sorry I did. Misplaced the receipt and can't even take it back. Last Rubbermaid can I will ever buy.

We can open it, but the dog can not!!

The best kitchen trash can I've ever owned and the only one my dog has not been able to break into! I'd like to buy another one for recycling, but I can't seem to find this exact style again in stores. Lid opens with one touch and stays open while in use, closes with a click and stays closed while not in use. I really like the bag lock feature too - keeps the bag from slipping, easy to swap out, does not pierce the bag when replacing lid. Perfect size container for any brand of tall kitchen bag,...

Lid will not latch

I've had this trash can for 3 days and the lid will already not stay closed. Debating whether I should throw it out or intentionally break the springs so at least it won't open on its own.

Don't waste your money!!

I bought this trash can because the one we had before was a rubbermaid and lasted 10 years before looking like it had seen it's better days. I spent more on this trash can than one of the basic model trash cans with the tops that swing to put your trash in because I thought this one would work better and well after taking the first one back thinking it was broke and getting a new one I realize it is just a horrible trashcan that I spend money on.

worst rubbermaid product ever

I bought this wastebasket about a month ago, The lid will not stay shut. I can't believe they would put out an inferior product like this. Also, it cost twice as much as the competitors .

Lid will not stay locked

I posted a review two days ago, and have not seen it. We bought this item 2 months ago, because we just got a rescue dog and quickly learned she would not stay out of the trash. Now, I have to put the trash container up high because the lid will not stay closed. I chose a rubbermaid product because I have never had a problem before.

BEST CAN EVER

I bought this can after trying many flip tops and stainless steel can that didn`t open without intervention. This is a great can. It opens easily with just a gentle touch. The bag stays secure and never falls down. I recommend this to others and they love it as well. I need to get another one to replace the useless one I have. Good job Rubbermaid!

Trash Can is trash

This was purchased 3 days ago and the worst product I have ever had. Lid will not stay closed which is what I wanted since I have two dogs. Totally useless product throwing in the garbage and will replace with something other than Rubbermaid.

Great Feature, Poor Quality

This trash can is THE Best I've ever used.I've used it in my home for @ 5 years now and it has been flawless!!!! The wire locks keep the bag UP in the receptacle and the release/latch for the lid has worked without fail!!!!Easy bag removal,Always gets completely full,replacing bag is easy too!Can't say enough good things about this trash basket!!!!!!!!

Great Concept, TERRIBLE Design Execution

We are a gluten for punishment. Our first Spring Top Waste Can worked well until the catch for the top broke off. The second one, we are unable to get the catch to release the top without excessive force. This is a design flaw for a very simple issue. Fix the problem Rubbermaid!!!

Doesn't last

I purchased this trash can because the lid locked but it didn't last but a month or two. The locking lip broke and the lid no longer locked closed. Useless once this happened. Very disappointed.

Bag Stays Put - Lid stays shut!

This is the can I've been waiting for!  Finally a can that makes the bag stay put.  So many years I've been waiting for an economical waste can to be manufactured to help with bags falling  (the bag companies have tried).  The lid on mine stays on great and the 13 gallon bags completely fills this LinerLock waste can unlike the bag in my old cans that had to be lifted out and then filled the rest of the way up.  I'm sorry for others who had poor fitting lid but mine works so great that I had to ...

Horrible!

I bought this one week ago and the lid will NOT stay shut! The liner that holds the trash bag will not stay closed either. The worst one I have ever owned.

Love it!

I've never had trouble with the lid staying closed like some of the other reviewers have mentioned.  The liner lock works great and is still holding strong after a few years of owning it!
