Would RecommendI would highly recommend this washer after owning one for 10 years. I am replacing my old roper with a new one. I wash 3 times as many clothes as a family of 4 should. I some times wash peoples clothes who are homeless and wash clothes to be given away to charities. My washer has held up for 10 years to this kind of treatment. For the price and ease of use you could not find a better washer.
Great Washing Machine
Would RecommendI have used this for over a year and it works great! I would highly recommend.
Very disappointed
Would Not RecommendWe bought the Roper washing machine for my sister-in-law at the end of August of this year. It had to be returned because it leaked from the bottom. The second washer also leaked from the bottom. A repairman was sent. All he did was look at the bottom and said it wasn't leaking. The third washer seemed OK but it had to be the noisiest washer we have ever heard. Also is vibrating. It's not worth the price.
This washer is the worst washer I ever owned.
Would Not RecommendThis Roper washer is the worst washer I ever owned in the 49 years of owning a washer. Its very loud when in operation. Can not get warm water in the tub to wash comes in cold. there is no rinse water to speak of . Burnt rubber smell when in operation. Service tech said its sprays the clothes to rinse them. DO NOT BUY. DESIGN IS BAD. THIS WASHER WILL BURN UP BEFORE THE YEAR IS OUT. shakerbow
Great washer!! Awesome for the $!!
Would RecommendI have had this washer for going on 6 yrs, and it has never given me a problem! Excellant washer! My mom is getting a new washer and I told her to get this one and not waste her $ on an expensive front loader when this one works just as well :)
good machine
Would RecommendThis is a good washer. I have had it for 2 weeks and my only small complaint is it is a bit noisy. It does have a low rinse cycle but clearly states that it is to save water and energy, with that being said it does get the clothes clean.
POORLY manufactored washermachine
Would Not RecommendI just had my second roper washer delivered yesterday. The first load washed normally but the second load didn't make it through the whole cycle before the entre inside drum fell off the track. The machine is now filled with water and clothes and is totally tilted inside the washer as if the whole inside drum fell off it's track. My first roper was purchased 34 days ago and I was grateful that lowes deliverd another one no questions asked although it took 8 days for them to deliver it. Unfortuna...
Wonderful Washer
Would RecommendThis is a really great washing machine. It is very easy to use and gets my clothes really clean. It is a little louder than my old one, but since it cleans better, I don't mind. Really saves water on the rinse cycle and now I only have to use half as much laundry detergent. A really great washer for the price.
Great Family Washing Machine
Would RecommendThis is a good family washing machine. Tub is good sized to do a full load of family whites or darks. I use unscented liquid soap and it washes and rinses well. I don't use or need all the bells and whistles.

CONTRADICTORY
Would RecommendI have given this washer excellent on certain points. True those points are excellent HOWEVER I too hate the low rinse level. I know this is the new 2011 energy compliance rulings BUT come on . A depth of 1 hand to rinse clothes is totally unacceptable. I use the wash cycle twice to rinse my clothes. properly. Energy Efficient. No Way. But such is the way of the world. I am going to see if there is someway to override the rinse cycle level. One positive-I MUST USE LESS DETERGENT. The energy comp...
Abused it since 2006
Would RecommendI owned this exact model washer since 11-19-06, I do 2 or 3 loads a week and I do always overload it with heavy work clothes and NEVER had a problem with it, it does sometimes goes out of balance and shakes the floor but thats my fault cause I overload it all I have to do is stop it and move the clothes around and the wash tub finds its own balance. The other nice feature nobody thinks about is it doesn't pump out the drain water at a high flow rate or high pressure that causes the drain hose to...
Should have read reviews before purchase
Would Not RecommendWe've had a Roper washer & dryer in a rental property for the past 5 yrs without any problems. That being said, when our front loader at home had several repairs, we recently decided to replace it with a Roper washer that would have less features. We, too, have been very disappointed in the water levels. The wash level is low and, therefore, not much laundry can be loaded. I feel the laundry is not getting cleaned like the old top loading machines. The rinse level is even lower. I cannot fathom ...
Water rinse level UNACCEPTABLE!!! NOISY MACHINE!
Would Not RecommendI am a mother of five, grandmother of five. I know LAUNDRY!!! This washer is BASIC and CHEAP and 1/3 the cost of other washers, so those are the "pros", (and may indeed be a "good" washer), but one thing I cannot stand: the level of the water when the machine fills up for rinsing is UNACCEPTABLE and I am furious that I didn't read these reviews before I got it. I noticed right off that the rinse level of the water is extremely low, the clothes are not even covered in water at all. The washer is ...
good for the money
Would RecommendWe have had the roper washer and dryer for 5 yrs now without any issues. Easy to use and reasonably quiet. I dont know why anyone would check rinse levels either. If you have soap left over then you are using too much. We just bought a second set for our vacation house. Good machines for the money
Very good washer for the price!
Would RecommendBought in May of 2011 and I realy like it. It washes very good, Not loud in any cycle. Is made by whirlpool. A nane you can trust. My last Roper washer lasted 12 years. If you are thinking of getting this get it. I am happy 100%.
Good, cheap, washer.
Would RecommendI bought this in October of 2009. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. My question for all the people who left reviews is, why do you all look at water levels when it's on rinse? I don't usually open up my washer to check on water levels :| I have not had any suds left on my clothes, and I don't think this washer is tremendously loud. My laundry closet is right next to my living room where we watch tv and I can still watch t.v. as things are washing. This is a good machine for the price.
Basic Washing Machine
Would RecommendAfter my Maytag went after 15 years I wanted a cheap basic washer. I have had this washer several months and like it. Its no more noisy than my Maytag and even gets the clothes cleaner. The low amount of water in the rinse is to save water. All the stains are gone and clothes smell and look great. But I bought the 5 year warranty just in case as they don't make washers as well as they use to. Also used the gentle cycle for the first time last week and clothes came out clean and not damaged. If I...
