Would Not RecommendBought this junk 18 months ago thinking that it would last at least 5-7 years since only 3 people would be using it. Well the motor burned out and it would cost as much to repair it as to get another one. Don't buy this machine. You could spend less money and get a decent used one that would last longer.

Would Not RecommendI owned a Maytag and wanted a simple washer. Roper is a good working washer with easy buttons. It's not quiet but I don't mind. What I did mind is that as I put the clothes in the dryer and smelled them, because I do to make sure they are clean, the clothes on the bottom still smelled of bleach while the clothes on the top smelled clean. Poor product design
Would Not RecommendOn medium and large loads it leaks due to water splashing out of the basket onto the underside of the top and lid, then drips down to the floor. Most washers have guards around the basket to catch the splash and keep it in the washer - not this one. Expect small puddles of water on the floor at the corners after all medium to large regular loads during the rinse cycle. (Does not leak at low water setting or on gentle cycle.) ROPER V MAYTAG
Would RecommendJUST PURCHASED THIS WASHER DUE TO THE FACT THAT MY EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE MAYTAG DIED AFTER ONLY 6 YEARS. THE MAYTAG REPAIRMAN ACTUALLY TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING OUT THERE NOW THAT IS BUILT TO LAST LIKE THEY USED TO BE AND THIS ROPER IS THE BEST TOP LOADER ON THE MARKET. HE SAID IT NOT DOES NOT HAVE A LOT OF EXTRA BELLS AND WHISLES THAT JUST BREAK ANYWAY AND HE OWNS THIS MODEL HIMSELF. I HAVE ONLY HAD IT A FEW DAYS AND IT GETS THE JOB DONE AS WELL OR BETTER THAN MY MAYTAG EVER DID.

Would Not RecommendThe price should say it all. We bought this after we got married because it was all we could afford. It needed repair work shortly after we bought it, and now just 6 years later we are having to replace it already. If you are only expecting or needing a washine machine to last a few years, this is the one to buy! Otherwise don't waste your money on, spend just a little more, and get one that will last as long as a machine should.

Would Not RecommendI have had this product for FIVE years. It did very well and then overnight it stopped wringing out the clothes. I would expect this to happen if it is ten years old. To get it fixed it would cost about as much as it cost to . Just for the guy to show up is $80. not including labor and parts, so it is not cost feasable for me to have it fixed. ROPER PRODUCTS ARE AS GOOD AS EVER
Would RecommendI rented an apartment for 5 years and two months and all the apartments in the complex had Roper brand appliances. I had a Roper washer and dryer and a Roper Refrigerator and all were excellent. The washer and dryer were as good as any top load models on the market. No problems whatsoever. The apartment manager informed me at one point during my tenancy that in 2002 he had bought all new Roper appliances for the apartments. Would RecommendI have had the washer and dryer both for 5yrs now and no problems. I wash and dry at the least 3 loads a day so it works great for our family. :)
Excellent machine
Would Recommendseven years ago my sister bought me this machine as a gift. As of today it is still running strong and as never had to be repaired for anything! It does a minimum of 5 loads a week and still runs like brand new! For someone who wants just a basic washing machine you can't go wrong with this one. I'm planning on buying a new one and selling my daughter the old one. Really cleans clothes good too!

Would Not RecommendEasy to use. When I purchased it, I knew it was a lower cost product, but knowing I was using it for 2 people, I thought it would last a few years. Unfortunately it lasted 1 year and 3 days. It has a 1 year warranty. As few loads as was put through it, very poor quality product.
