Remote not working after sitting there

I just bought the remote yesterday and I'm already irritated with it. It works great until its been sitting there for a while untouched. When i go to pick it back up to use it none of the buttons will work. I have to plug it into the charger and wait for the light on the back to flash so i can use it. Is there something I'm missing on how to wake up the remote?

Roku rechargeable remote

It stop working two months ago. It won't recharge anymore. The TV display says it 100% charged but, when you use it; it's not working. What a disappointment and a waste of money. Roku instead of ignoring our reviews, you should do something about our non working remotes. Wanring: the charging port is unreliable!!!!

I bought this remote late last year, and after work fine for a month or so, I noticed that it was not charging. Turns out the charging plug is no good. If I wiggle it and get it "just right" it will charge, but for the money ROKU should make sure the charging port is more solid. Buyer beware.

Just quit working

I purchased this remote thinking it would pay for itself..not having to keep changing the batteries. I was wrong!! At first the remote was great then one day it just stopped working! It wouldn't charge at all! I contacted Roku to replace it and emails were exchanged that I would be receiving a new one in the mail that was 3 months ago and unfortunately it's not like I could call and speak to an actual person. I would not waste the money!!

BAD layout

This remote is NOT intuitive. I can't tell you how many times I have gone to change channels at hit the right button that exits the screen. PLEASE when you redo this remote put the kill button in a different spot. Meanwhile I am looking for another alternative because this one is a royal PIA.

Worked great for a month or so and then it just wouldn't charge. Looks like a common problem. I can't even find support for it on this website! Really super disappointed!!

Head set quit working

The remote head set quit. It lasted about a month. It still changes channels, and voice works well. However I gave in one star because I am hard of hearing and I chose roku because of the headset function. I have several older roku ultra remotes with head sets and they all work great after years of use. Very disappointed in Pro.

I bought this so I would just need one remote to operate everything it was great I was so excited. Now it has quit working I bought a new Roku thinking that was the problem. Constantly stops working. Will randomly be out of power even though it was just charged. Now it just won’t charge at all. Won’t make any sounds either if I try to locate it. Won’t respond to voice even after being turned on and off. Just an overall frustrating product to use.

remote size

The remote is physically to small to hold and operate, and side buttons should be in a location that they are not pressed when picking up the remote. When i press one button i press multiple buttons, larger remote and space the button further apart. Remote should have back light so easy to see the button in the dark.

Worth the extra cost!

I love the find the remote feature and hands off voice control. I have difficulty with hands from car accident so it's a godsend to be able to change channels, go to favorite channel, pause, find a show or movie, without having to use my hands. I can't control my tv with it, but small price to pay! Will be saving up to replace all 4 of my regular Roku remotes in my house with the pro model. Thanks said much!

Don't Bother- can't return

After a few weeks it started changing programs and not functioning right. Only way to "return" it is enter serial number in form (surprise-remotes dont have serial numbers). Roku suggests contacting retailer who refers you back to Roku. Terrible

DOESN'T WORK

I have tried TWO remotes, gave up. Everything works ok, except for the "hands free voice". It will only "find my remote" if I am holding it in my hand. And it will only do it once. I have to turn the hands free voice off, then on, for it to work... only one request per reset. Disappointing.
