Not worth the money!

This thing is pretty cumbersome to use, the bucket always falls sideways so you have to strap it to something. Very cheaply designed. I had to cut and install the gasket myself. it's not just a bucket lid that snaps on, there are only two snaps and you could really use at least four to secure it to the bucket. there are much better products on the market in the same ballpark of price.

Works as Designed…

Works as designed but I am doubtful that the securing catches will hold up over the long term (plastic and not very robust). Expensive for what it is. The low profile is very nice but the whole assembly is extremely light weight and falls over easily with these very rigid shop vac hoses. Best if it is anchored/secured in some way. I’ll be dropping a couple of old weights in the bucket until I mount it. No doubt, it is an improvement in localized shop vacuum dust collection.

Will Not Work w/ Lowes Bucket

When used for more than 5 minutes with a Lowes blue bucket, the bucket collapses under the suction pressure. Also, as some have mentioned, a bucket without wheels will tip over when doing something that requires movement like sanding. If the bucket collapses, it won't work like it should. Given the cost of this plus the cost of a container that moves and won't collapse, you might be better off spending the extra money for all in one solution at twice the price.

Works as described. Now I can keep my filters much cleaner and not make a mess when emptying.

A welcome addition

Connected this in conjunction with a 130cfm rated vaccum to a 12" chop saw in my shop. While we ve only used it now for 2 days, the dust collection bucket is 1/3 full, and the vac has a very very light film of dust in its collection tank. I cant even see any build up. Great Dust collector

I have a small hobby woodshop with a CNC and I needed something to help control the dust. This product worked great. The low profile made it easy to slip under the CNC machine. The clear top allows you to see when it is working. and the clips for the lid to attach to the bucket are great. They make it easy to get on and off. I would recommend it.

Clean filters this is your dust separator.

Really reduces the dust getting to the vacuum keeping the filter clean and suction high. A con is the locking mechanism to attach it to the bucket is hard to get to lock to the top of the bucket.

Great idea

This is a great idea, and i think with a little more work it could be great. It doesn't take all the saw dust id say about 50%. The clips that hold the separator feel kind of weak and I'm afraid won't take long to break when removing to empty the bucket. Would think maybe something metal with a spring may help.

Needs adapter

This product needs to include an adapter for different size hoses. I purchased it to use with a ShopVac as a more portable alternative to my current dust separator. Unfortunately, this product requires a much larger hose, and does not include any means to use a standard ShopVac hose.

I'm in love!

I was so discouraged, thinking I would never get rid of all the sheetrock dust from my big remodel. It was ruining my vacuum cleaner and was on everything! The Oneida Dust Deputy was easy to put together and has emitted NO dust that I have observed. With the bucket and the Shop Vac attached to each other, it is bulky and not easy to maneuver but is solving my problem so well, I will not complain. I just wish I'd had it from the beginning!

Worth Every Penny in New Filters
