Recessed Outlet And Cable Feedthru

The recessed wall outlet and cable feedthru works well. It was easy to install and looks good even though it is behind the TV. it is a little larger than what I wanted but serves it's purpose well.

Must Have for Wall Mount TV

I’ve been using this device for several years and have used it in five different jobs. Works like a champ!

A bit large but efficient

For 'behind the screen' this works excellently! It is a very large opening but easy to install and the matching plate for the cable pass-thru at outlet level is very nice. I have three HDMI cables, a VGA, and an audio cable run with ease. Of course, my wall is a room separator and pre-wired for the outlet, so there is no insulation to deal with.

Nice product

Very nice product, you have to cut the whole with drywall saw then install, template for hole is in box. I installed mine in the same stud space as the receptacle below. Fished a small piece of 14/2 Romex up from existing Rec to new. I cut a 1 gang low voltage “pop-in ring” down low near existing Rec with a brush bristle cover to allow me to fish accessory cables up and down wall. Unmatched appearance result

Only three stars because a) at $30, it's a bit pricey, and b) a template should be included to simplify and accelerate the process of cutting a proper-sized hole to accept this unit.

Makes it easy...

Nice option for a recessed outlet. The cable pass through cuts down on cost since HDMI wall plates tend to cost a lot. Easy to install. Great product for DIYers

Straightforward Install

The hardest part was cutting into my wood paneling. After that was done it all worked out. Kit includes almost everything. I realized I had to by wiring to hook up the electrical outlet. I just hooked it up to the existing outlet below it. Also, keep in mind there will be another exit hole for the audio/video cables beside what goes through this kit, so you may want to pick up a 1 gang brush plate.

Easy to install with the supplied template and accommodated the AC plugs behind the TV screen nicely.

Looks great but....

I use many Lagrande products working as a handyman. There were two small items that need the manufacturers attention on this one. First, the cutout template was too small to fit the product. Not a huge issue since it was easy to measure and cut the appropriate sized hole.The 2nd. issue is the metal lugs that turn out to grab the backside of your drywall. They turn so freely on the screws so that you can't turn them counter clockwise to get the unit back out which I had to do. Not a problem on th...

Recessed work box review

This box works as advertised, and provides a nice clean finish for the job. This outlet assembly is pricey, but with the different, components by the time you separated them, the sum of the components are pricey as well. The manufacturer has the consumer on this one. Biggest head-ache for this item is the cable holders prevent you from pulling additional cables through after the initial install. If more cables are needed, the covers have to be removed. Overall I'm very pleased with the outcome.

Worked Ok

Researched a few recessed / multi-use outlets. Had been planning to wall mount a tv for while, and knew that I wanted to add an outlet behind the unit. This unit seem the cleanest, and included a slot for Coax wires. This outlet installed easily, using the hole template provided. The old-work mounting screws and clips worked fine. Neat and tidy

Got really tired of seeing the ugly wires hanging down from my wall mounted TV. Now there is nothing to see but the TV! The unit was easy to install and I took away one star just because I felt it should have been made of thicker, sturdier material. It definatily does the job and takes care of electric, cable and HDMI. Box itself is very quick and easy to install. Fishing the wires can vary with the job.
