Good product, should be coupled with a smaller non-recessed outlet and cable chase 2-gang configuration for the lower part of the wall. Also, if the recessed housing with canle chase was smaller, ir might fit inside some of the larger tv wall mounts. 5.5” X 7.5” is defintely too large for most Nd you have to position it left/right or below, making it difficult to center a TV

Legrand white wall electrical box

I have not yet installed this box. I purchased this unit to hide the cords in the wall behind the television. This unit is well made and will hide all cables and electrics in the wall and thus eliminate unsightly cables hanging down the wall behind the TV.

Hiding TV wires and cables

This is a neat idea. You can hide all your cables in the wall and bring through only what you need. You do need to mount the box close to the TV. The box is designed like an old work box and is mounted by 4 wings, cut a hole and tighten 4 screws.

Hiding flat screen wires

I bought the Legrand 2-Gang White Plastic New Work/Old Work Standard Rectangular Wall Electrical Box in order to hide the wires for the flat screen in our bedroom. Installation was easy after I tapped into a junction box in the attic for power to the outlet. Both boxes mounted easily and feel very secure.

I was installing pegboards in my garage but didn't want to loose pegboard space by cutting a hole in my pegboard. I installed this where my outlet was, plugged my power strip into it, then covered it up with my pegboard! It looks great!

Ease of install

I recently installed this to hide the cords on my tv. The box is a template to ensure you cut the perfect size hole in the drywall.
