Doesn't hold up...

Poor construction
Would Not RecommendI installed one on each of our two gates and had the same issues with both. The provided screws are soft and sheer off easily even with pre-drilling as the installation directions are written. Later both springs separated from the bolt holding tension, very cheap welds holding the assembly together. One separated on the top bolt, and the other on the bottom. I followed the directions and both were tightened less than the three turns max.

Would Not RecommendI installed it exactly as the instructions said on a wooden gate. The spring popped out of the holding bracket within the first 10 minutes. Poor design. I’m probably going to have to drill a hole in the spring and modify it somehow now. Or trash it but something that works.

Good price and works as expected. Keeps my gate closed. Had it for a month and so far so good. I installed it as vertical as possible and only needed to turn 2 flats (not 2 full turns), just as stated in instruction manual.
