Well built gate spring

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this gate spring for an addition we added to the barn. It works great, very easy to install, and looks great. It holds the gate firmly closed, but dies not slam it shut. We will be getting more of these when we build the second barn in the summer.

Handy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Gate Spring a while back and I'm very happy that I did. I have three dogs who I leave in my yard .. People some times come and go while forgetting to close the gate, I no longer have this problem with the Gate Spring, thankfully!

Exactly what I needed!

The National Hardware brand is always the answer. The Spring works perfectly and was very easy to install with the included hardware. It is also adjustable and can be used in a number of different applications. It’s very rugged and you can tell it will last a very long time. Great Item!

Perfect for my gate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put up my fence last summer and the gate always is left open by my kids. So I bought this spring and just installed it and it’s already worth every penny. Knowing my fence gate is always closed is worth it for me.

Quick and easy to install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spring was easy to install and did not take much time or effort. The spring is a great addition especially with a toddler around who likes to leave the gate wide open, now we don’t have to worry about that.

After installing per packaging instructions, I opened the gate and the bolts that are attached at each end of the springs popped off

Good gate closing spring

these gate closing springs were reasonably priced and quite sturdy. I needed two of them to close the gate for a spa fence I had build to keep the grandchildren safe. Combined with a magnetic lock, the gate closes and locks automatically. The spring is welded to a bolt that is tightened with a wrench while a small steel shim is inserted next to the hex-bolt head to prevent the spring from releasing. The shim is small, so initially I didn't notice it when I unpacked the spring and screws. Still, ...

Used for the gate the kids can’t quite grasp needs to be closed.

This thing is garbage. It almost keeps the gate open.

Powerful Spring Ensures Gate Closure

This is an inexpensive way to enable secure gate closing. I adapted the spring to work with my galvanized post and gate. The spring is powerful and I am still trying to get it to close less forcefully. I bought a second one for a more frequently used gate but hesitate to install it because of the slamming quality I have observed.
