Would Not RecommendThe screws included are the worst quality they could use. Heads break off after short useage due to soft metal used. Don't use included screws. As well the metal wedge is too thin, I had to add an extra shim.

Would RecommendWe were hoping for something that would keep the gate closed, but it doesn’t pull very well close to where the gate is closed. It works well with a latch because the spring and momentum pull the gate closed to the latch.

Broke quickly
Would Not RecommendNeeded to have gate springs in order to meet code requirements on a fence around a pool. Purchased four springs and installed them. After a short couple of weeks, the springs would no longer close the gates resulting in multiple adjustments. Springs became deformed, permanently bending near the bolt. Finally, the coil springs separated from the bolt and has rendered them useless. Will be searching for other options for gate closures.

What a simple, effective design. I've now installed four of these. If you want your gate to quickly slam shut, then you have to carefully turn a nut, and insert a small metal piece to hold the tension. It's a little tricky, but it works. For gates that just need to just gently swing shut, its super easy to just slightly tension the spring.
