This coffee maker is programmable but it is very hard for him to see the numbers to set the time. The old coffeemaker had numbers that were lit up. This one did not. I didn't have problems seeing the numbers but since my husband had a problem, I sent it back

Would RecommendI purchased this last month. I like it as it makes good coffee, is a fair price and easy to fill lines. This sits next to my sink and so easy to fill. It is also easy to program.

Would Not RecommendThese coffee makers are garbage. It quit working on the 10th day of use. This was a replacement for a Mr.Coffee 12 cup coffee maker that died after 2 months of use, and its predecessor lasted six month. Once upon a time, these were great coffee makers that gave years of service, but no more.

Would RecommendThis is my second FTX41-NP model. I was given one as a gift in 2008, and I used it every day. Unfortunately, a power surge fried it and I had to replace it. I loved it so much, I bought the exact same one. I particularly love the adjustable plate to keep my coffee at just the right temperature. I hope not to have to replace this one any time soon, but if I do, I will be buying this exact same coffee maker.

My wife also had to place a black towel under this small appliance due to leaking and making large stain on counter. I tried getting used to it but my wife had enough. Incorrectly detects thermal carafe=cold coffee
Would Not RecommendWe just received the coffee maker and it worked correctly for a couple of days. After that the unit automatically detected a thermal carafe so it doesn't keep the coffee warm after brewing. We've cleaned the thermal plate (new so it wasn't really dirty), and ran the glass carafe through the dishwasher but still have the same problem
