10 Years of Daily Use

Would Recommend

This coffee maker has been phenomenal for us. We've been using it daily for 10 years, and have never once had a problem. Unfortunately, the cord recently developed a short, and the coffee maker is no longer usable unless we repair the cord. Still, after 10 years, I am not unhappy. I'll probably just buy this one again and hope for another 10 years of us!

Have only had ours maybe 2 months and it leaks water out the back directly onto the electrical cord and leaves huge puddle of water on counter. Therefore, doesn't make the amount of coffee needed and very worried about safety.

The coffee tastes very good the coffee maker which is not my first Mr. Coffee is the worst. The karafe always holds water under the handle after you rinse it, the machine makes a puddle of water underneath all the time, there's water everywhere. Do not buy this.

I purchased a model FTX45-1 coffee maker from this site it is more than described on this site. I HAVE USED MR COFFEE coffee makers since I was 22 I am much older now very pleased with this coffee maker the only thing I would like to see is a back lite display. yes I recomend this to every one keep up the good work.

design issue

I like the look of the coffee maker, and coffee tastes good, but do not like the limited space to get water in. It is difficult to pour water in using the coffeepot as it bumps into the circular water dispenser above the coffee basket. I end up spilling water either on the grounds or out the side trying to get the water in.

decent coffee...but

This is being used in a small office setting with multiple pots being brewed daily. Water is hard to get into back of pot without it splashing everywhere. Back plug has had leaking problems even after it was turned with the hole facing down. Also when you overfill with water it comes out that plug in the back (which in our case, the water then runs down the wall and into the socket it is plugged into). Coffee is great but the beeping...

We bought Mr. Coffee® Performance Brew 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker, FTX49-NP, a few weeks ago. We cleaned it according to the manual without issue. We only drink coffee on the weekends, so we don't have it plugged in all the time. When we do plug it in, the beeping continues for several minutes before it stops. We've consulted the manual but there's nothing in there about beeping. So annoying when others haven't gotten out of bed yet. Anyone else have this issue?

I agree with the previous 106 1 star reviews! This is the worst design ever! The carafe does have a lip that won't allow you to dump the entire pot without tipping it all the way upside down. When I pour water or coffee, it drips down the carafe and spills on the counter. I've tried pouring slower or faster and neither one helps. Every time I brew I have a puddle under the machine. Sometime coffee, sometimes water, but always a puddle. JUNK!

A real let down and not the usual quality

I bought this coffee maker less than a week ago. I got it home and made about five cups and it worked fine but the next morning my wife tried to make 12 cups and it over flowed all over our counter. We cleaned it up and tried it again and it seems the coffee wasn't filtering correctly and when I tried to drink it, the coffee taste like plastic. The Absolute Worst Coffee Maker

This coffee maker does NOT work after just 2 weeks!! I try to make 6 cups of coffee, for example, and only about 1 or 2 comes out. It tastes horrible. Steam is coming out like crazy and ruins the clock in front. Where the coffee filters are, never dries out. It's always wet so I wonder about bacteria growing in there. The design is horrible. It was a great coffee maker but recently I've noticed steam coming out of the resivoir and its getting worse. There is also a burnt smell that concerns me. I think it is time for a new coffee maker after 5 years. it was a great product!
