Leaks! Badly

I really wish I would have read these reviews before I bought my coffee pot. The carafe leaks. not just a drip either. I actually regret buying the whole coffee pot just because of that. From the looks of it it is a design flaw so getting a new one isn't going to help.

What a piece of junk

My husband is extremely unhappy with this new coffee pot. He has used Mr. Coffee brand coffee pots that would last for years but needed a new one that was programmable. The carafe design is horrible. Out of the package the coffee pot would leak so bad because of a bad seal that it looked like a waterfall. After 2 days I took the carafe back to the store which replaced it with one from the shelf. My son and his family got me my Mr. Coffee maker for Christmas years ago and when I realized there was a crack in the decanter, I ordered two more. when the decanters came, the coffee maker wouldn't start. Poor design - very disappointed

I have been using Mr Coffee machines for many, many years and typically my only mild disappointment is how quickly they die with daily use. I have always been happy with the overall design which is why I kept buying them. Disappointed

It is not easy to pour the water in the reservoir, and the carafe does not completely empty when the coffee is finished. When you wash it, a small amount of water is trapped in the neck when you turn it upside down. I don't like the idea that I have to buy water filters for the unit. This was a gift and I would not have picked this machine if I had a choice.

Decanter leaked from day one

Would Not Recommend

Straight from the box the decanter leaked around the base of the black top and the glass body, and only gets worse. No amount of adjustment to tempature, poor speed, or angle has helped. I have to pour over my sink to avoid making a mess. It was a gift so I can't return it or use the warranty as I have no recipt. Makes great coffee, love it besides this huge annoyance.

Heating element seems to be melting

We've had it for about 2 years I think - seemed to be working fine but it's been smelling like it's burning plastic the last two times i used it. The heating element has sections of it flaking off. I will be replacing it - disappointed it fell apart this way in a relatively short time.

Worked great for the 10 days, then this morning just stopped. Lights all work, clock is working, but nothing happens when the brew switch is pressed except that it lights up. Mr Coffee Quit . . . only lasted 2 1/2 years

I bought this Mr Coffee machine at Best Buy for Fifty Dollars two and 1/2 years ago. I have to admit, I loved it's design and appearance. I used it every day, but yesterday it just quit. Didn't come on and didn't make me any coffee. Now I think it's just a poorly constructed, not durable addition to our Landfills. It seems to me, Sunbeam has created a non-serviceable, environmentally unsound device. That's the problem with this kind of product.

Purchased 2- both broke!

We bought this coffee maker last June. It worked great for about 6 weeks, then it stopped. It wouldn't even turn on. We were able to exchange it for a new one, same model. This one lasted about 6 months; did great, then stopped working. All past coffee makers have lasted for years. Not sure why, but this model isn't cutting it. We'll be buying a new brand tonight!

Reliable....not so much

Received this beautiful looking coffee maker as a gift December 2015...worked wonderfully for exactly 25 days...then nothing....no brewing....no flashing lights...nothing....hard to look a gift horse in the mouth (old proverb) when being used to an eye opening cup of joe in the morning. Now have to make a trip to the land of tank tops and house slippers for options...B&D or HB ???

Pooling water

I bought this for a Christmas gift for my husband. I spent $60 on this and have been very dissatisfied. The condensation builds as the coffee brews and spills out of the back of the coffee maker. This has created puddles on my wood counter and I'm now left with water marks. I would not recommend this coffee maker.

Carafe design is awful.

Would Not Recommend

Coffee maker is good in most respects, but the carafe design is terrible. Every time you poor a cup of coffee, the plastic ring around the top traps liquid and so when you stop pouring, it spews out about 1/8 cup of coffee onto the counter or table. Neither my wife nor I can make a clean pour. Never had problems with other drip coffee machine. It was a gift, so I can't return it.
