Performance Brew 12 cup programmable coffee maker

We bought it about a month ago because of the reasonable price and looks. We have always had good luck with Mr. Coffee in the past. But the poor design of the water reservoir makes it impossible to fill with the carafe.

bad design / nothing but problems from start

My last coffee maker crapped out and Mr. Coffee replaced it with this model . Well had nothing but problems from day one . It leaked water on the counter while it was brewing ( a lot) in the back of it . It took for ever for it to stop brewing . The amount of steam coming from the front can take wall paper off the wall . Not a good design . Its like it wasn't tested . Wouldn't give this to no one . Not even my enemy .

I bought this coffeemaker in August of 2016 nevertheless to say Mr.Coffee had to replace their product no later than a month after I bought it! Mr.Coffee sent a replacement . Their replacement is doing the exactly the same as the one I bought! The Carafe is poorly designed still.

The band and handle to the carafe are poorly designed. The band around the top of the carafe holds coffee or water while pouring out. As soon as you turn the carafe upright. Either coffee or water pours all over the counter or the floor. It made making coffee annyoing,and potentially dangerous by the handle breaking off and being splashed by the hot coffee. it appears by other reviews Mr,Coffee hasn't addressed this issue of their flaw in their carafe design. We replaced a slightly older similar version that was just aging (well). Very happy with this coffee maker. Has all the features we need. PLUS seems to be the best model for not leaking when pouring a cup when it's still brewing (Pause-and-Serve). I have returned other (new) models that leaked coffee onto the heated base when using the Pause-and-Serve feature.

Our office manager purchased the coffee pot for our office in Jun/Jul 2016; it is only beginning of Sept. We brew 3 pots/day, 5 days/week. Our last coffee pot which was a black & decker lasted well over 5 years (was here when I started 5 years ago.) Failed twice in less than one year

We were thrilled when Mr. Coffee sent us a replacement machine at no cost after the first one failed about a year ago. The first one sprung a leak during brewing, never delivering water to the spray head, instead all over the counter. Well now the replacement has failed, but this time it is due to overheating the water. This machine creates pure steam that cannot drip down from the shower head. It just operates like a vaporizer. Sad situation for what was once the best maker in the industry

Leaks like a sieve!

I purchased this about 3 months ago and about a week ago it started leaking out the bottom. We fill it at night before we go to bed and set the timer and in the morning we always have a puddle on the counter! Never had this problem with any other coffee maker. Very disappointed!

Great product

Would Recommend

I got this as a replacement for another Mr Coffee maker which was very poorly designed. This one has all the features I need. The water indicator for the reservoir is in the front and visible on both sides of the carafe. Also, the other one, had too small an opening to pour the water, this model has a separate door on the top where you can easily pour in the water. Carafe is still goofy, but the coffee is very good.
