never again

Would Not Recommend

This one is garbage. It auto toggles between thermal and glass. On thermal it doesn't stay on and keep coffee warm. Takes too long to brew and sometimes has to be turned on multiple times before it actually starts. I'll never buy another mr. coffee product.

Coffee pot makes the coffee taste horrible

I am not sure as to why this coffee maker makes the coffee taste terrible...I have to wash the entire maker every time i use it. I shouldn't have to do this... its only water... the stench is coming from the reservoir for clean water...doesn't make sense.... my older than dirt coffee maker is fine same water never wash except once a month.... I really tried to give it a chance and now i cannot get a refund . only a replacement which im sure it will happen again. :(

try again

Got this for Christmas and I will return it. The basket is very loose and it brews slow and the pause n serve feature leaks bad. It's like something is missing to told the basket firm so that the plunger works proper.

We got this coffeemaker earlier this month after our old faithful lost its carafe in an ugly collision with a coffeecup in the sink. Of course, not finding a replacement, we resorted to a manual methid for a week or so before settling on this model. It is nice to have the timer feature and the extra capacity compared to our other model for guests. The only quirk is that it chirps occasionally while cycling the heater plate. I think we can get used to that, though. Meanwhile i found a replacement...

Good basic coffee machine. Seems well built. Makes great coffee fast. Could be hotter but no worse than the rest. Controls work fine and option to automatically switch to the thermal carafe is great. Water filter is just a basic filter disk you put over the grounds basket. Gets in the way when setting up or cleaning up a pot of coffee. This is unit #2 and this one is doing the same thing I called in for the first one. It will not make a consistent cup of coffee, regardless of using the same amount of water and grounds each time. The Brew Strength button is a necessity to increase your chances but it is no guarantee that the machine will not choose to make you tea instead. bad design

It lasted 2 months - I was worried about the way the electronics are placed at the top of the unit, and how it steams up while the water cooks. Also, the lack of a light behind the clock seems to show how slapdash the design is. Well, the last few days I could smell wiring burning while the coffee cooked - and today the button panel no longer works, and the thing is permanently "on". So I'll maybe use it a few more times before I get something better, but I have to plug/unplug it. Oh well.

For some reason I purchased this model coffee maker the same day my previous Mr Coffee model FTX Series decided to stop working. It just so happens that I was at a store that day, saw this one on sale and made the mistake of purchasing it. I have 2 of these coffee makers in the last 7 months. First one i was cleaning and saw condensation built up in the clock. Went to use it the next morning and nothing. No lights, no coffee brewing. I bought the red & black one in November of 2012. I have used it everyday and in some cases twice a day since that time. I have never had any issues with it mechanically, and it is easy to clean & maintain. Among the things I love about it: the brew strength option, the chime letting you know it's done and the price when compared to other brands. Frustrated

This morning my 3rd replacement stopped working. Like many of you lights on. actually I got one pot made another and it didn't brew. They are sending me another replacement. I told them that if this next one breaks they. Need to give me my money back. If you have problems calling ask to speak to a supervisor. I would rather pay more for a reliable coffee maker than have them send me replacements every 1-6 months. I'm going to buy a French press for back up.
