Zone 2 stopped working after a month

This worked ok for the first month. Today, I find that zone 2 is not working. The display says it is working, but the inner valve will not open. It's a $60 item and in order to get a refund or replacement I am responsible for all postage. I'll just buy a different brand and write Melnor off as a bad buy.

Anyone can set -up this product

This product looks intimidating, but is very user friendly.

Great 4 zone timer

Works great for setting up different watering zones in the yard off one water bib, wish it was a little better built, plastic can become brittle.

Did not work after a few days!!

I installed the unit and set it to run every morning at 7:30am. I noticed after the 7th day my grass was turning brown. So I went outside at the set time to check what was going on. I saw that the unit is showing the faucet sign that its running with the timer but it is not activating to let the water out. I tried to do it manually to test it out and nothing. Great warranty

Bought this in 2021. It got some water in it and wouldn't work. Emailed Melnor and asked how warranty works. Of course I gave them all the purchase info in my email. Got a response. Whats your address and we'll get a new one coming. Got it today. 4 days total from email to USPS mailbox. WOW!!!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Works great but.....

works great but it is a little hard to learn to program but not to bad. I have it programmed and it has been doing what it does perfectly for weeks now. It's still a pain in the rump to turn it on manually. Need to watch some more video's i guess.

Unreliable

I bought 2 of these timers. One is fine. The other one has 2 stations that absolutely will not come on--unless, for some reason they randomly decide to, which is seldom. I can't even get them to work on manual. So disappointing and frustrating.

leaking from the inside at season #3

This was a great watering timer for our home. However the product upon install this season appears to have broken. It is leaking almost from the inside out. Water sprays out from where the seam is in the device. This could be internal seals have fails or something, but it's no longer functioning well enough to use. Poor Quality

I bought one 4 years ago it worked great for 1 summer. I put it away for the winter and it would not work in the spring with new batts. I forget it had a warranty and just threw it away, and went to buy another because I really like the functionality. Same thing, worked good for the summer but was dead next spring. Third failure

(I'm the reviewer who wrote "Great UI, but fails quickly" below.) After two failures (described in my previous review), I was going to give up on this unit but I bought one more just because there wasn't anything better on the market. This third one has now failed. The failure mode this time is a little different. The unit randomly resets and leaves itself on the screen to set the time. I shouldn't have bothered with a third one.

Works Well

Easy to program. Have a couple others I’ve used for several years. Still working well. Best price for this timer I found, was at Lowes.

Watering circuits and/or programming unreliable

I am compelled to write this review to WARN the consumer that the product is NOT reliable. I've followed all directions, fussed with this thing for nearly two months. I thought I could devine it from my I/T and programming expertise. No dice. I have watering circuits that won't turn on as programmed, factory reset, reprogram, still the same persistent issues on one or more circuits. I contacted the manufacturer after our timer stopped working in Year 2. They responded immediately and are sending a replacement. Excellent customer service. Works very well when it works

Awesome but overpriced

This timer was a game changer in our yard last summer. We disconnected it and stored it inside from November to May but it isn’t working now- the valve inside failed on one of the outputs, rendering it useless. $62 is a big investment for a one summer product.

Common sense

If you use a little common sense and don’t hang 4 hoses off a small plastic fitting, then you will be ok. People complain about the fittings breaking off aren’t thinking about this. My only problems are that sometimes the valves will be stuck closed. I am going to try the minute between each, but still don’t think that’s the issue. I have one unit that won’t turn any on sometimes. Between the 3 units I have, it’s hit or miss when they turn on. Kinda frustrating but cheaper than an irrigation sy...
