Great timer!

This is a great product that helps you keep your plants & trees watered. Too bad I have to return because I didn’t know my hubs bought one already LOL

wonky timer operation

I set the unit for 24-hour clock, much easier than worrying about am/pm, which seemed to work well. The clock showed 24 hours and the timer let me set watering times for 1300, 1700, etc. But when it came to showing the next scheduled watering times, the unit was back on a 12-hour clock and ignored all of the afternoon & evening schedules set in the 24-hour format. Not terribly useful if I still have to go out and water by hand any time after 12 noon.

Great product with excellent customer service

I have owned many Melnor products over the years and have been very happy with them. This timer is no different. It is extremely dependable and easy to program and use. I have a large piece of property and use 4 of these to water my yard. I have had this one about 18 months, and one of the valves stopped working properly. It would not shut off completely. Does what it’s supposed to do

Does what it’s supposed to do. Just a little clunky in setup and requires a hose extension at the faucet otherwise a tight fit

Worth the Cost

It is accurate and effective in controlling the time and date of watering the lawn.

Mixed feelings

I would not say that this is the worst product. I have two Melnor timers and for the most part one works great. I have recently purchased a new one and yes some of the zones do not work. I have set the timer several times and the zones are not working. I would have a picture of the water coming on at the time set but no water comes out. I have checked my hose and there are no problems. I contacted the company after two new timers and I was sent out a new timer free but there are zones (1 ...

Worked sporadically

This item worked sporadically for almost exactly one year to the date - then it quit cycling through the four zones. It would only run the fourth and last zone for HOURS and never go off until I went out and turned off the hydrant. Says it has a seven year warranty - we'll see if Melnor is true to their word.

Garbage product

Horrible product. This will fail you and ruin your lawn or garden. This thing will randomly just decide to stop opening on schedule or even during manual watering. There is no way to fix it. Avoid at all cost

Very dependable

Great product for an area with out power for a regular electric sprinkler controller. I have 3 of them and I like that I can set the watering time and walk away knowing my plants will receive the appropriate amount of water with out me having to do anything more.

I am on my 6th and every one eventually stops opening 1 or more valves.

Sturdy and Easy to Use

Angled port locations are helpful. Although it seems like in manual mode multiple ports cannot be opened at the same time.

Instruction sheet

Excellent timer, but as with most foreign made products the instruction sheet was in small print and somewhat confusing. I learned more by watching videos on YouTube.
