Two valves open at a time

Two of the valves always stayed open. After spending several hours messing with it, I realized it was just broken. Traded ot out for another one and it did the same thing. The instructions warn you that some of the valves can open during shipping, but I tried manuall ahutting all of the valves and it still didnt work (on either unit). Very disapointing.

Good, but not repairable

This is a good unit, but because the solenoid/valves are all one piece means that you have to replace the entire unit instead of the bad solenoid/valve.

And returned and all the zones water properly! (Not the smartest to install the day you leave). But installation and instructions were perfectly clear. My only issue was when I was initially programming the switch, I thought the valve was malfunctioning because the water was leaking a little bit. Spent about 30 minutes trying to figure out, resetting etc. When I notice I had the “manual water switch” open, which let the water out. So worked like a charm.

not too shabby for the price

worked as directed with minimal set up time. has endured multiple 100 degree days running constantly and has never missed a start bbn or stop time

Complete Junk

After less than one month one of the valves stopped closing and allowed water to continuously flow. Cheap plastic crap.

Easy to program

Good, easy to program timer. I would buy again but I’ve only had it for two weeks so we’ll see how long it lasts. I purchased this one and a 2 hose one in a different brand and this one is way easier to program. The only downfall is the fact that some of these when you first get, the valve stays open even when on timer but it’s an easy fix, just have to troubleshoot. No runs, no drips, no errors

Tried a different brand from Amazon, but it didn’t cut it. We’re happy with this one, so far. Build quality and reliability seem good, and manufacturer warranty of 7 years, to boot!

Easy to use 4 valve timer.

Easy to use. I like the simple valve dials that allow you to manually open the valves without multiple buttons to push. I wish they would incorporate that into their 2 valve timers.

Great

Work well. I am watering 3 times a day for 15 min on a new lawn and this timer has saved me tons of work and moving of hoses and sprinklers. On time every time!!

Erratic behavior

Very nice product in concept. Many programming options though setting intervals is a little confusing at first but really has lots of flexibility. My particular problem was intermittent failure of one of the zones to activate the valve. The display would indicate water but the valve would fail to open. Weak restrictive solenoids

Does not always shut off as programmed, plus restricts water flow too much when open. Unreliable.

Electronics good. Mechanics not so much.

The programmable part of this device is nice and intuitive. The electronics box gets in the way of the spigot handle, making it difficult to turn the water on and off by hand. I can swing the box to the side, but the mount is plastic, and it's only last so long if I keep doing that. "But wait," you say, "The timer itself controls the flow of water. Don't waste your money

I bought two of these timers because I just had sod put down and I wanted to be able to water the entire area without having to move the sprinklers each time. They both when I first tested them but when I reset them to begin watering, one outlet would not shut off so it was on when another outlet was on, reducing the pressure to both. Very good timer for controlling sprinklers.

The unit is solidly-built, although the outlet hose fittings are plastic. In my application, it is hooked to a four-zone sprinkler system so wear on the fittings should not be an issue. Control unit screen is easy to read and not too difficult to program. Flow rate is reduced slightly for a triple-sprinkler but fine with two on same line.

Poor quality

As far as user friendliness, I would give it 5 stars, EXCEPT, if it’s banged up during shipping. It’s extremely easy to set up BUT a little difficult to reset the valves if banged up during shipping. The main reason for a 2 star rating is because the quality of the equipment is extremely poor for the price they charge. This quality would justify a price range more like $25 to $35.
