Would Not RecommendSetup was easy, and it worked great - for about 36 hours. In the middle of the night, two of the 4 valves opened and would not shut. Not only that, but if you manually cap those, it just sprays water out of the housing. I woke up to find flooded flower beds and a useless timer. I was going to use this to water while out of town, but i am glad i had the foresight to let it run for a week before leaving.

Valves stuck open even after troubleshooting
Would Not RecommendProgramming seemed easy enough. Unfortunately, the valves stuck open when water was hooked up. I performed the troubleshooting tips, but I still couldn't get the valves to remain closed. Melnor should program a routine when the unit powers up. The routine would open and close the valves. This one is going back to the store.

Worked last summer...
Would Not RecommendThis product worked wonderfully last summer when I installed it. I used it all summer long and then put it away for winter. My husband and I just set up our garden sprinklers and went to use these timers. Guess what? They have both, we bought two, started leaking from the seam of the two pieces of plastic that make up the box that the hoses connect to. Would Not RecommendThis really sucks, I purchased 2 of them. Valves stuck open regardless of how man times you open and close them dry. Both with controls or manually. Way too expensive to be this cheaply made!! No customer support either.

Easy to Use Melnor Digital Water Timer
Would RecommendDue to Texas hard water in our area we probably have to replace water timers more frequently than other locations. This one was easier to set up than the other timers we've had. Also, it's super easy to shut off any of the 4 timers. Bottom line: Good product, easy to setup, easy to use, and a good price.

Would RecommendI used to go out move the sprinkler around every morning and evening during the fall after Aeration and over-seeding but with this timer, I get to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and playing with my kids at night without the hassle of thinking about it or going out every 10-15 mins to move the sprinkler.
