Great thermostat, Exceptional support

I purchased two TX9600TS to replace those in a house I purchased. I was able to map the wiring of the lower unit to the diagram provided with the thermostat. However, the upper unit was much more complex. Rather than risk damage to either the thermostat or HVAC/Heat Pump, I went to the Lux web site and requested support. It works but isn’t practical

This unit does the job but is kinda useless in the Spring when it’s hot during the day and cold at night. It can only be set to heat or cool, this doesn’t work for me. Unit has been replaced already

Lux Touch Screen Programmable Thermostat

Needed a programmable thermostat that wouldn't break the bank. Called technical support to make sure that I could use it for my AC/Heat Pump and made sure I had the right wiring set up. I did it and it works great!

Lux Touch Screen Programmable Thermostat

Easy to install and to use. Instructions were easy to read and follow. This LUX Thermostat works perfect. It replaced a new touch screen programmable thermostat made by a competitor and returned it to the box store because after 5 months of use, the temperature setting would mysteriously increase to 90 on its own. Very satisfied with LUX.

Great thermostat

Works as advertised, very easy to install took less than 10 minutes to swap out thermostats.

Poor Performance

I purchased the Lux TX9600TS based on the many positive reviews and Consumer Report’s recommendation of the thermostat as a best buy, but my experience was quite different. I set my thermostat to drop to 68 degrees overnight and go up to 70 degrees when I wake up in the morning. When I woke up the morning after installing the TX9600TS, the heat was not on and it felt colder than usual. I checked the thermostat and it showed 72 degrees. Lux Touch Screen Programmable Thermostat

Installation was straightforward, uncomplicated. This thermostat is very sensitive to temperature changes so my unit cycles frequently during the day. We'll see if it saves any energy over my old thermostat. The screen is much easier to read than the old one. I've had the Lux installed for only two weeks.

WINTER IN CNY

Had a minor problem with operator error but telephoned the help line and problem was solved. It is easy to program and has been working great. I could not install myself but I expected that. At 85 years old things seem to get more difficult to accomplish so I hired a HVAC Tech.

Beware Junk

Youve been warned! Worked for less than a month then started having trouble with it. No wonder they were on sale .Replaced it with a honeywell.

15 min to install?

Works like supposed to and I like the larger readouts. It took my husband longer than 15 min to install and he usually is good installing most things. Like the product.

Great versatile Touch Screen

The numbers are large and easy to see. It's a great basic touch screen because you can use it for single mode or two stage heaters. It's fine for older heaters like ours that just use batteries to run the thermostat or you can hook it up to electricity in your room with batteries at the backup. It's simple to use without programing the thermostat or easy to program. We like to set it for 68 most of the time, but I set it for 72 at 6 when we are waking up. Easy to Install Thermostat

I replaced an older programmable that was having issues. This popular Lux thermostat was easy to install (pretty close to the claimed 15 minutes), easy to program, and is working great. We don't generally run the program, but it is there if we need it. Better than having my HVAC guy come by and charge me to do the same thing!

Works Great

Replaced an OEM Lennox thermostat that retails for $350 with this Lux product and I am glad I did. However I did have a problem after initial installation bc I have emergency heat backup. Had to disconnect a wire but now its running great. Same functionality as the 350$ lennox thermostat. I hope that I will continue to have emergency heat backup since i had to disconnect that wire.

very easy to install and diagrams are easy. It's easy for first timers if you have basic knowledge of if you read and follow directions.

great choice

This is a programmable unit but not "smart". I needed help wiring for my heat pump system and called Lux tech support. They answered the call quickly and knew exactly what I needed to do to complete the wiring. The unit has nice features and is easy to program. Very impressed with both the unit and tech support.
