Not Impressed

This worked on thin rust but scaled rust(yes chipped away heavy accumulation) did not touch/change/convert rust.

Naval Jelly

I've been using this stuff for years. I love it. It does a great job and works well to restore metal.

Didn't remove any rust

Applied 3 times. The first for 10 minutes-2nd for 20, 3rd for 30. Could have used that time with an orbital sander. Did not remove any rust what so ever.

Impressed with results

Used this product for my cleaning business and was impressed with the results. Seemingly dissolves rust before your eyes. Would recommend this product.

Rust Remover

I used this product to remove corrosion on vehicle brake drums and it did not work very well.

Tried to clean some steel rusted wheels for a bed. It didn't work But your application maybe different.

Very versatile

My moped was very rusted after sitting in the barn all winter. After using Naval Jelly, there is hardly any! It cleaned both the thinner and heavier rusted areas. It's a good product!

Best rust remover

This just ate the rust of the bed rails of my truck. Absolutely love this stuff!

Moderately effective

I've used a few rust-removing products out on the market, and while Naval Jelly does seem to work... its applicability is narrow. I restore old hand-tools, and rust removal is an important step. Getting it done right the first time (and only *one* time) is definitely something I'm after. I tried it on several different tools -- and several sizes, with varying degrees of rust. Naval Jelly is not for just the Navy

I have used the product several times to removes rust from VERY difficult places. Brush it on, let it sit then rinse it off. It makes a great pre-paint surface of the bare metal. Just be sure to put on the first coat of paint soon. The surface is BARE and will start to corrode.

it works, but be patient and flexible

Redoing my bathroom, took in completely rust coated hinges to Lowes and asked if they had anything that would work, they said to try this. IT DOES WORK, and my hinges are a bit worse for the wear, but still better than having to buy dozens of new hinges when only a handful were rust coated. BE PATIENT!!! And be prepared to scrub with an iron scrub brush too (steel wool is too flimsy). I literally had to let my hinges soak in it overnight (I recommend ziploc baggie). About 90% of the rust did com...

Quality purchase!

Used it on a old iron bench to eliminate the rust build up it had collected for 15 years sitting outside in Minnesota, worked like a champ but it leaves a white residue, be prepared to wire brush(cup brush) to remove excess.
