But I will say if they are making newer models to make them with an automatic opener when it finish wash because if you don't take out the clothes in time it starts to smell

Best washer ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer 5 years ago and it has had only the most minor of repairs. The lint filter is easy to clean and keeping up with cleaning saves the pump. We have an LG refrigerator that is even older. Both are the best appliances of their type we have had. We are LG converts.

Extremely disappointed

Great wash if you can live with mold

Something always breaking

Less than 5 years old and I have had more repairs on the LG washer and dryer than any other appliance I've ever owned

Smells terrible!

Started off great, but the. We started getting this awful smell. We clean out the bottom hose and drain it weekly but the smell won’t go away. We’ve thrown in the towel and are moving away from this machine!

Shaker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The self- balancing feature no longer seems to be working. The machine will spin out of balance, will not stay on pedestal and shakes the entire house. I would like to speak to a specialist about the issue, but NOT through social media. Not everybody is on Tweeter or that Facething.

Balance weight falls

I bought this washer in 2017. Worked fine a little over a year. Heard a bang the washer started to shake violently. The weight fell off of the drum. The weight is only held up by four plastic pegs and bolts. Two of the plastic pegs broke and the other two vibrated out. I do not recommend this washer for anyone.

Nice washing machine terrible quality

This unit was bought just over a year ago. Within 7 or so months the motor went out and fortunately it was covered under warranty so that got fixed. 6 months later apparently the hardware has gone back and is now out of warranty and tech said it’s a dud! Cost to repair is $700-800 including taxes and better to buy a new one. Very upset it only lasted 13 or so months.

mold issue at gasket

When remodeling the home got all new LG appliances for kitchen as well as washer/dryer. Sadly just 3 years later we are resorting to having to get a new washer. Main reason is the rubber gasket gets moldy and smelly. You have to clean it after every use, leave door open at all times and empty filter frequently to keep it semi not smelly. Drum broke after warrantee expired

The drum on this washing machine broke after the warrantee expired and now the repair is costing us as much as it was new to buy. Another problem is the water seal holds water in a low spot which tends to build up mold. Very disappointed in this product

Poor water level.

This machine has a load sensor for the water amount. It only dampens the cloths. My cloths are not coming out clean because there is not enough water. I checked the manual and it states that it is normal to not see any water. I had a tissue in a pocket, that was the only thing that came out clean, not even ripped up. I hate this washer. Would never buy a front load washer again.

I regret buying it.

I hate this machine. We didn't install it until after the return had run out so we've been stuck with it. Water seeps out of the door, dirt gets caught in the door seal, and the tub always smells bad. I've done all the troubleshooting I can and I'll just have to keep putting up with it until we can afford another one.

High Maintenance Washer

I have had this washer for over a year now. When It uses very little water as it first begins the washing process. It is energy efficient as it's rating states. My problem was, it took no time to realize the mold smell this washer will have if you do not take precautions to eliminate water after using the washer. Bottom Counterweight Falls Off

I purchased this machine in 2016, worked fine until last week when it started bouncing across the floor during the Rinse/Spin cycle. Repairman found that the bottom counterweight had fallen off. He replaced the weight, ran a cycle and it fell off again. This is a serious design flaw, the counterweight is held in place by four bolts screwed into plastic expansion anchors on the drum frame. Leaking

Really cleans the dirtiest clothes!

Let down on front loader.

Bought 7/10/2016 & as of 3/29/18 the spin cycle is knocking and vibrating like mad. Checked level and that’s fine. No other noises just no control at spinning no matter how many articles of clothing are in the machine. No other problems.

Efficient and Flexible
