Great Product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this for a couple years and the latch part broke. So I contacted them and they soon sent me a replacement in the mail. It took care of the issue for now. Thanks for standing behind your product. I have a couple of these smartcode latches and deadbolts. I like the zwave technology and wireless control.

Very useful electronic door handset

This is *almost* a great handset. Functionality is definitely great and it is simple and convenient to use. I have had a couple of these on main entry doors for years and they get abundant use from kids and adults. The electronics have worked fine. I had to place a warranty claim on one after 4 years of use due to a return spring breaking, and the warranty claim process was smooth. Great Product

[Employee of kwikset] Installed the handle on a from door in the matter of 15 minutes. Works great and has a nice finish.

Perfect for my detached garage, I was tired of having to grab a key whenever I needed something.

on our 3rd replacement and its still not working

We just received our 3rd replacement from Kwikset, and the electronics won't turn the lock knob. If I give it a little push, it will function, but if not, it just make noise like its trying to, but won't work. This is the 3rd replacement we've received from Kwikset, to replace the 911 SmartCode we bought at a local large retailer. I'm so fed up with this!

Stopped working after a year

I installed 3 of these units in a home remodel. After just a year 2 of the units have stopped working. The locking mechanism breaks somewhere within the cylinder rendering the lock inoperable. Please don't buy this product of you want something that will last.

Simple to use, bit noisy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a house with this unit installed and deadbolts for the other doors. The kwikset technology was invaluable in changing the lock - so easy! I can't wait to do this at the cottage too! The only downside is when someone comes in the beep and the mechanism can be heard throughout the house - not fun when trying to sleep in but I might change my mind when the kids start staying out past curfew!

It's so nice not to fumble around trying to get my keys, and I also don't have to worry about my kids needing or losing a key.
