Awesome Locking System!

This is an effective system. Works great, attractive look, and good quality. We are thinking of purchasing a second one for another door.

Locks defective.

Bought and returned twice. First lock would not catches, just kep clicking. Second locks mechanism just kept spinning around. Changed brand. Third purchase is fabulous. Of course it is a different lock and different company.

Looks nice, very confusing and feels unsafe.

Every time I walk into the garage, the lever does not warn me that the door is going to lock behind me!! When I check all the doors at night, this door opens right up even when it's in the locked position which is so confusing. I have to yank on inner and outer just to be totally sure the door is set to lock. If it's locked, the lever should not move, period. Very very poor design. Taking it back and switching all my locks to a different manufacturer.

easy to install and operate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] its so dependable, my building is 150ft from my house. I I use to forget my key and have walk back to get it. now I just put in my code and I'm in. I am a happy man.

Keyless Entry Lock

Easy to install, but I had trouble programming the lock. I had technician come out to look at it and they also had trouble. Returned product to LOWES. Refund was easy.

Love it!

Love this new Smartcode door handle! So many times I would get to the door with my hands full, only to find the door locked. This is so much easier than setting my bags down and digging through my purse to find a key. I would have given it 5 stars but we had to exchange our first one because the lock mechanism came right out when we tried to use a key.The second one we received did not have that problem. We are very happy with it.

Easy to operate. Increased safety.

Work well in most cases, I recommend stuffing the hole through the door with a ball of loose fiberglass insulation. The hot air outside and cool air inside caused the circuit board to fail on two locks due to condensation. This helped and does not interfere with operation. I wish that you could change batteries without taking the special hex screws out to remove the cover. Don't lose that wrench!...

handy for those that lose keys

This is my second lock like this and i have to say is very nice to have. Can change the Number easy and set differant access times if you want. You can also make it match you other Kwikset keys if you have any.

Very easy to install. Works well and has been dependable.

Poor quality, save yourself

Super poor quality lock. Gone through two of these hoping that the problems with the first was my fault from the install but they both crapped out after a couple months of use. Whirring and grinding sound as the lock opens starts and never goes away. All of the cheaper Kwikset products have some sort of issue. Recommend a higher quality product.
