[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] MY WIFE ASKED FOR A LOCK TO UNLOCK EASY AND FAST, AND IT WILL LOCK BACK AFTER SHE PASSES THRU. FOUND JUST THE LOCK, WORKS GREAT. OUR LOBBY IS OPEN FOR GUEST AND OFFICE AREA IS LOCKED, MANY TIMES GUEST FOLLOW MY WIFE INTO HER OFFICE FROM LOBBY, SHE IS ALWAYS AFRAID THIS WILL BE THE ONCE SHE WILL BE ROBBED. AFTER INSTALLING THIS LOCK, GUEST CAN NOT FOLLOW HER THRU HER DOOR AFTER SHE CLOSES IT. THIS MAKES HER SAFE AND SECURE.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this product for several years now and absolutely love it. I have recommended it to many family and friends who are happy with the product as well. I like the fact that it has 2 codes you can set that way if you need to you can call a neighbor, give them a code and they can go in your house to check on something or let the pet out. You can then change the code later when you get home if needed.

Well made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this lock set a couple years ago. It worked well until a few months ago. I called Kwickset and they sent me out a new one. It was a pleasure working with them on the phone. I'm thinking about switching to the blue tooth model on some of my other doors. Great fit and finish on the product.

Great when it works....

I bought this 1 1/2 years ago and it worked great until after the one year mark, naturally. The internal mechanism turns and turns without grabbing and unlocking the door. Very frustrating as it is not under warranty when it stops working.

SmartCode Lever Review

Never a Lost Key

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this one for several years and replaced one like it, so I have bought two. I usually leave house &start car before I realized that I need to go back into house because I forgot something . No need to remove keys from car to reenter . Also I was able to give code to the company that handles my alert medical device so if need 911 the EMTS can enter house if I am unable to get to door. Great security and peace of mind.

The door latch that won't work

I have tried diligently to get this product to work with dependability for a long time. It won't!! The basic design is flawed and the quality of manufacture is poor. Having installed four of these handsets the installation is difficult and they always go electronically wacky/dis-functional in six months to a year. Don't waste your time with Kwikset products, go immediately to the Schlagh product which is heads and shoulders a much better product both by installation ease, programability and dura...

EASY TO INSTALL AND USE!

IT'S GREAT TO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A KEY ALL THE TIME! THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT...ONE CAUTION...AS YOU INSTALL IT BE SURE THE CONNECTOR CODE IS TUCKED WELL OUT OF THE WAY BEFORE COMPLETING THE INSTALL...OTHER THAN THAT IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT AND I LOVE THE SMART KEY FEATURE! All around great solution

I bought this lock about 4 years ago and it was just what I needed. I put it on my garage door. Before installing this lock, many times I have locked myself out of the house. Now I can enter my code and get back into the house. It is also great when I have my hands full of items like grocery bags. Perfect Solution

I got one of these for the owners’ closet in my Panama City Beach condo. As usual, I downloaded the pdf on-line before purchasing to see how it worked and for quick referral as needed. Love the zwave but quality so-so

I've used this lock with several different zwave hubs and it works great. Unfortunately, the inside locking mechanism failed after a year or so. KwikSet did replace under warranty. As others have noted, the lever gets loose and in my case, the whole unit tends to loosen as well. Mostly just an annoyance but I wonder if the lever will last long term. Otherwise, I love the functionality.

Great Lock

This is my 7th Kwikset - SmartCode Lever lock I'm really happy with these. They are easy to instal and change codes.

Doesn't unlock every time

Great when it works. awful when it doesn't. and most of the time it doesn't. I have to punch in the code sometimes more than 5 times before the lock mechanism actually works. Punching the lock often times helps the mechanism work. I have take the whole thing apart a few times to try and find a problem, with no success.

We purchased this lock and are thrilled with the product. Would recommend it to others.

Super Convenient

Bought this as I was always looking for my keys . It is so easy to use just press your code an presto door unlocked or locked . I also installed it on my garage door to house entrance its even better since you have groceries and stuff you don't have to look for your keys

Works well

This lock works very well but I have had one issue. I installed this lock a little over a year ago and recently it could not be opened using the outside handle. The problem turned out to be the 6 screws holding the keypad on were loose so the handle was not aligned with its latching pin. When I took those screws out to discover the problem the handle spring came apart and I could not get it together correctly so I just bought another lock of the same type. Attractive and dependable

We purchased this lock about a year ago and find it so nice to leave our home in Hawaii to head out to the beach or for a run and not to have to worry about carrying along a house key. The finish has held up well, even being right across the street from the ocean salt air. We'd recommend this product highly.
