Very handy tool

I purchased this Item jig to help me with installing some crown molding. Using the jig made holding the molding correctly easier than I expected. I am a novice so this did help. Measuring for the corners was still hard but that's a me issue.

Makes Crown a Breeze

While it's a fairly simple jig, this product takes a lot of the thinking, rethinking, and overthinking out of making cuts for crown molding (especially for the weekend warrior like myself). Easy to put together and use, it was definitely a good investment.

wouldn't recommend

The pros: It helps find all the angles fairly easily the cons: 1)Our side angle was 45 degrees We had to keep correcting the side angle setting on the underside because it kept moving even though we tightened it. 2)There's no support, there's no way to secure it to the miter saw or hold the wood 3)It because it kept yanking the crown molding out of our hands pretty violently doing a number on our hands and wrists and ruining the molding. Not every time but enough times that we gave up on it ...

Life saver

This cutting quide transformed a near impossible task to a “ I can do this” task. The video is a must for us novice crown molding carpenters. The $25.00 price tag is actually a steal when compared to a chopped up piece of expensive crown molding that now resides in the scrap pile.

Excellent Aid Tool

This product is not only simple to calibrate/use, but is also extremely effective, producing very precise inside AND outside corner joints! Helps remove a great deal of the "upside down & backwards" methodologies for cutting the necessary compound miter joints for installing crown moulding (not to mention removing the need for that dual bevel feature!). I hghly recommend this product, as is the case with practically everything I own from Kreg.

OK, Meets Basic Expectations

This product worked, but it has some shortfalls. 1. The directions were inaccurate or incomplete in a couple of areas, but it wasn't tough to figure out with some common sense or deductive reasoning applied. 2. The quick reference guide is too small and doesn't describe which way the wood should be loaded. Many applications require awkward cutting and loading (left hand saw, right hand wood guide). 3. The platform raises the wood pretty high on the saw resulting in the blade guard striking the w...
