I was trying to build a simple shelf for my stereo in the garage. Mini stereo, I used the shelf brackets and a 3/4 inch piece of MDF for the shelf. The weight broke the K-Rail and dropped the shelf. I was able to catch the stereo and took it back to Lowes for a refund! Ended up getting good ol' shelf brackets works way better as shelf. Quick and easy

With the hardware (not included) this is super easy to install.

Great mounting method.

Bought a bunch of these to mount Kobalt cabinets and a variety of accessories. These work great and mounting the cabinets and accessories (hooks, baskets, shelves, etc.) was literally a snap. Only CON is that these are 48-inches long; if they were a bit longer it would be easier to bridge 4 studs (requirement is a minimum of 3 studs).

Kobalt Resin K-Rail 8100401BL Garage Tool Hanger

This tool hanger looks very classy and is strong enough to hold anything you can hang on it. I like the ability to slide hangers left or right to match width of the tools you are hanging. The only negative that I have is its price. By the time you put all the pieces together you have a fairly expensive tool hanger. In summary, if you have a nice garage (or workroom) and you want a first class tool hanger and you are not so concerned about price, this tool hanger system is a good pick for you.

Easy to install, with all the available hook types, makes very flexible for storing all types of tools. Greay for organizing garage, and getting tools off the floor.

Great product!

This is a top of the line product for a great value. I have researched garage storage solutions for months and Kobalt has, far and away, the best overall garage storage solutions available. I have tried (and used) craftsman, gladiator, and rubbermaid but, so far, the Kobalt equipment is the highest quality for the best price. I now have a serious garage and serious tools, all courtesy of Kobalt. Thanks Lowes!

Not High Quality

I put up two Kobalt K-Rail units and hung one on the wall above the other one.. I bought the attachments that you can mount a shelf to, but I hung realtor signs on them. After about a month the top rail hardened plastic piece broke, falling off the wall and breaking the one holding realtor signs below it and left me with a terrible mess in my garage. Would be an absolutely great product if it came in metal or something more durable.

Storage on the wall

Works great with the many types of tool hangers. Would suggest you either include the mounting screws or make it more obvious that the screws should be purchased at the same time. I had to take an extra trip back to get the mounting screws.

High quality product!

Prior to purchasing the Kobalt - K-rail, I purchased and installed the Rubbermaid Fast Track Tool Kit. I liked it, well that was before I installed 4 Kobalt K-rails. Cost slightly more than the Rubbermaid Fast Track but the quality is grade A!

Works For Me

I have 6 bikes hanging next to each other on two 50" rails. They're fairly light bikes. The road bikes are 15 to 18 lbs and the mountain bikes are 19 to 24 lbs. One rail is supporting about 52 lbs and the other is supporting about 67 lbs. Of the 6 hooks I bought one was defective. It would not clip securely to the rail and I had to exchange it for one that clipped on properly. If you want a bigger hook that should work for all bike wheel sizes buy the Rubbermaid brand.
