What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this storage rail system for transforming garages and workshops into organized, accessible spaces. Most highlight its sturdy construction, ability to hold heavy items like ladders and tools without sagging, and compatibility with numerous hooks and accessories. Many appreciate the straightforward installation, though several recommend pre-drilling pilot holes and anchoring into wall studs for best results. A few note the lack of included fasteners and mention reduced rail width compared to older versions. Overall, reviewers consider it a reliable, versatile solution for decluttering and organizing.

Would Not RecommendPurchased this to store bikes in my garage. Came home after a few months and found the track snapped and the bikes all over the floor. If this had damaged my car I would have been extremely angry instead I just feel ripped off.
NOT as sold
Would RecommendThis is sold as being pre-drilled; they are not. It was not hard to drill the rails, but it consumed way more time than I wanted to spend on this. Some money should be returned to me, since I ended up having to do the work that was supposed to have been done for me. At my hourly rate of $46.00, I probably am entitled to $92 from Lowe's.
Perfect rail system for parts bins and tool hanger
Would RecommendI've purchased around 120 feet (20 6' lengths) for my garage and workshop. These cut easily in any chop saw, and are really strong. I mounted both the red plastic bins and the large plastic bins and filled them up pretty well with copper and brass plumbing fittings and they are very heavy. Bin sag a bit (as they are overloaded) but the K-rail is rock solid.
Great for neat tool orginazation
I choose these rails plus hooks over the Rubbermaid because these are less expensive but more substantial in size and strength. Just a note -- don't paint over these!! A friend made that mistake and now he cannot hardly put new holders on or off.
Great simple product
Would RecommendWith many cheap attachment options this is a great product. It is simple and looks good.
Kobolt rails and attachments. E A S Y!!!
Would RecommendFantastic!!!! Use them for hanging motorcycle helmets and leather jackets. Soooo easy. Will be getting more for shelves.
Nice rack!
Would RecommendI have 3 bikes and a gas blower hanging from this. Very sturdy. It took me about 30 minutes to install and went up pretty easy. Make sure you purchase good mounting screws and screw into studs.
Good product
Would RecommendWould be better if it were longer. Rakes and snow shovels take up a lot of room. Easier to mount if you pre-drill the mounting holes first.

Has some good and bad.
Would RecommendI am trying to decide what to think of this system. I am finally getting around to organizing my garage and went all out by building shelves around the walls and turning a corner into a tool / screw / bolt area using bins. One star for shelving. It did not hold much weight and the bar system was flimsy. I returned the bars, substituted plywood, and secured with hanging wire. It was a lot of work and $$$ to properly secure so they hold decent weight. I haven't gotten to the tool organizatio...
GREAT product!
Would RecommendI have been looking for this type of rail system and when I saw it in the store I was like GREAT! Very easy to install and use, yea the hangers can be a bit pricey but you are getting what you pay for, quality! I like the look so much that I bought 3 of them. The instructions clearly state the weight limit, 75lb per linear square foot, that is a lot of weight. Those who have had this break on them were obviously way above the weight limit as this is a a very thick rail, I like the clean look. So...
Pre-Drilled "not!"
Would Not RecommendThese rails are not "pre-drilled." To use these safely the rail must be bolted to the wall in three studs and two as closely as possible to each end of the rail.
Horrible Product
Would Not RecommendI purchased this product last week and installed it in my garage to hold my jeep doors during the summer. I made sure to install it correctly to 4 different support beams. I also verified that it was capable of holding the weight of the door (which is under 60 lbs). Got everything installed and it looked great, until ..... 4 days later, the plastic rail cracked, dropping my jeep door onto the hard concert and cracking my door frame. Needless to say, this product is garbage. Not worth the price a...
Easy to install
Would RecommendI needed a rack to hang the frame of my pontoon boat in my garage. I purchased this system and it was easy to install. It's able to hold the frame with ease..

Easy and straightforward
Would RecommendI actually bought the K-Rail because the Project Source bins that I really wanted said that they fit the K-Rail. A great combo! The K-Rail went up easy and seems pretty sturdy.

It works fine. The instructions are not very good.
Would Not RecommendIt is not easy to start the screws and keep it level. They sell different lengths of rails and they don't explain the spacing in the instructions. Just remember, your wall studs are usually 16" on center. Use a studfinder.

Quality, easy product
Would RecommendMounting was a cinch, changing and moving around the various hooks to meet my needs even easier. The only downside is that the hooks add up quickly so it turned out to be somewhat more expensive than I had anticipated. But overall a great product.

Functional and Reasonably Priced
Would RecommendI have been using the Lowes K-Rail system for the past 2 years. Installation is easy and very reasonably priced. The most difficult part of installation is finding studs as a few of my stud finders have been less than reliable. Hint: use magnets to find nails used to secure drywall to studs. My biggest complaint about the K-Rail system is the limited number of accessories to use with the system. I have tried other system accessories with K-Rail with limited success

Does not hold much weight
Would Not RecommendHeard a large crash in my garage. A big piece of the plastic rail cracked sending the shelf I had mounted (via Kobalt shelf arms made for this system) crashing to the floor. The shelf had just a few plastic storage boxes perhaps with 25 - 30 lbs of stuff. Did some surface damage to my car. Very disappointed in the quality of this product. Be very careful and only attach very light items to this unit. Would not buy this system again, but would look for a similar system made of a sturdier material...
Great garage storage rack system
Would RecommendThis rail was easy to install. I just used screws i had on hand. It didn't require any pre-drilling. I bought a handful of brackets to go on it and they all worked like a charm. The rail seems very sturdy. I have a leaf blower, ladder, string trimmer, and more on one of these. Another is used for all my rakes, and shovels.
