Would Not RecommendBought some replacement glass and this tool was recommended at the bottom of the screen. Didn't work. Now I need to get more glass too. Why don't you recommend a tool that actually works? Why do you still sell these?
Use it as intended and it'll work
Would RecommendI cut 2 pieces 36x36 to 36x30. Those came out perfectly
Junk
Would Not RecommendThis thing is junk. Make sure you buy 2 pieces of glass bc you will need it for when you mess it up. What a garbage item.
Granted I didn’t have any kerosene (As the instructions tell you to use) to lubricate the wheel. Not sure if this is the reason (hence 2 stars) because I’ve seen on multiple YouTube videos people not lubricating the cutting wheels at all. I used vegetable oil, which I’ve seen used.I only succeeded in making a small cut of about 4 inches. Otherwise I wasted a big sheet of glass.
Horrible product, waste of money
Would Not RecommendReally poorly designed tool, don't waste your money. Does not work as advertised AT ALL
Dull
Would Not RecommendI broke 4 pcs. of new glass I bought from Lowes using this tool. Does not score the glass like it should. I've cut many pcs. of glass over the years and seldom broke any. With this tool I broke all 4. Buy the one with one wheel.
Junk
Would Not RecommendDoesn't work. Wasted money on the tool and the glass it ruined.
Completely worthless tool
Would Not RecommendI am new to cutting glass and I didn't know what questions to ask or what qualities to look for. I shop at Lowe's so I just went with this one. Once I tried using it I kept thinking I must be doing it wrong...I googled and YouTubed videos on cutting glass. I've come to the conclusion that this tool is just crap. I didn't keep my receipt but will try to return it.
Not good!
Would Not RecommendKobalt decided to "reinvent" the glass cutter, but instead, made it ineffective and "fancy". The wheels are way to small to actually function, and you can't see them when your using it because of the "fancy cutter changer." The idea of extra cutters might sound like a good idea, but it's just a gimmick. If you're cutting that much glass that you need to replace the cutter, then your going to invest in a professional grade one, not something that costs under $5.00. On top of the unnecessary other...
Trash
Would Not Recommendjust take your 5 bucks and ball it up the ball and check it right in the garbage save your time this tool is terrible. Old school traditional glass cutter is the way to go. I would have bought it but they were of course out of stock but they had plenty of these pieces of s***. Could have made a better cut with my hammer
Junk
Would Not RecommendThe blade does not adjust well enough to make a deep enough scoreline to make an even cut. It was very difficult trying to get it to snap and it broke the corner of my mirror. I think I will just order a custom size mirror from a glass cutting company would have saved me a lot of hassle and frustration if I did so in the beginning
Garbage tool
Would Not RecommendBought this to cut smaller squares of mirror. Ruined the mirror and threw this in the trash. Don't waste your money. Going to try one from a hobby store instead. Tried putting a little bit of wd40 to lubricate tightened the blade holder. Nothing helped.
Did not cut at all.
Would Not RecommendThis did not cut glass one single bit. I had oiled it etc and it was like using a pencil. Very disappointed
Horrible! Do not buy this garbage.
Would Not RecommendHorrible! Do not buy this garbage. When will I learn not to buy this store brand labeled junk? I tried several times to score a line to cut a 12-inch piece of glass. I tried using oil, changed blades three times. I could barely detect the most superficial scratch in the glass. After the glass shattered, only a small segment even followed where I scribed a cut line. I bought a new piece of glass and tried to scribe a scored line with a fresh wheel and oil. Nothing. I am going to find another tool...
Don't waste your money!
Would Not RecommendThe first 2 cuts were ok but I couldn't get it to score a full line after that. Worst cutter I have ever used.
Sweepstakes
complete junk
Would Not RecommendI just ruined a $100 dollar mirror because of this piece of junk. Don't buy!!! It causes way more damage than it is worth.
Garbage!
Would Not RecommendWas new to cutting glass, but did my research on the technique. Broke the first pane of glass with this thing. Looked at reviews. Bought an better glass cutter that worked beautifully for consecutive cuts. Tried this one again, changing the blade to a new one. Broke a second pane of glass. It just makes a terrible score mark! You don't need a really fancy glass cutter to cut glass. Just avoid buying this one!
Kobalt Glass Cutter
Would Not RecommendDon't buy it. Trying to cut a 1/4" thick glass and its not the correct tool. Lowe's needs to carry a better brand
Do Not Buy
Would Not RecommendThis is a tiny piece of junk and should be removed from Lowes' inventory. Flipped the blades and still wouldn't score the glass I was attempting to cut. I'd be happy to take recommendations from folks who have found a good glass cutter. Mine is on its way to the landfill.
