Would RecommendI've never cut glass before and I am definitely a mirror professional, me and my wife are remodeling our bathroom and instead of spending $400 plus one mirrors I bought this tool and cut the old ones we had to the size of some frames we found. Actually I broke the first mirror and had to go get a replacement but it was Fairley easy. Honestly I just read the directions that came with the cutter and it worked fine. the broken mirror was my fault if I just paid more attention to my cut it would of ...
Cobalt Glass Cutter
Would RecommendHas 5 cutting/scoring wheels but only 3 worked; 2 of the wheels were stuck and not usable even with WD40. Still 3 wheels is a good value compared to the single-wheel product. Handle design is better than I thought. Did not pivot while scoring glass. Other product hard to keep from pivoting. I got forty 24-inch cuts out of the three scoring wheels. Any more would be stretching it.
Gets the job done - sort of
Would RecommendUsed it to cut up a 12 foot long mirror. Sprayed the WD-40 before we cut which definitely helped. The blade came loose a few times and had to be screwed back in. We used lots of pressure due to the thickness of the mirror. It wasn't a perfect cut but close enough for what we were doing. Would certainly work better on thinner glass/mirror. If you need a perfect cut on thicker glass/mirror this isn't the tool you want.

Don't plan on cutting much with this
Would Not RecommendI purchased this to try and cut a mirror that needed to be resized. I thoroughly read how to successfully score and size a mirror, and just needed a quality cutter. I should have known better from the price, but this seemed to be the only option available, so I gave it a shot. Needless to say, the blades were not very sharp, and didn't score the glass well at all. It was absolutely not worth it. It might work on very thin glass, but my 1/4" was more than it could handle for sure. Steer clear and...

Product was easy to use.
Would RecommendI did use an old glass cutter with a ball to tap the underside of the glass I was cutting to make the break run. I was cutting 1/4 inch glass. I did wash the glass before cutting and lubricated both the glass and the cutting wheel with kerosine. Very satisfied. Allen
