Would Not RecommendScrew feature could not hold cutting wheel in position. Female threads stripprd easily
Glad I didn't read the reviews before buying!
Would RecommendI tried so hard with this mirror, but I could not lift it over the faucet. 5' 2" - 61 years old - female! Husband said def need 2 ppl. Well, I am 100% Polish and with this tool - SUCCESS! Only purchased to cut mirror into 2 manageable pieces. I wasn't concerned about a straight edge.
Junk Cutter
Would Not RecommendI bought this cutter to do a quick custom picture frame glass, only because it's the only one Lowes carries. Over engineered, dull, tiny cutting blades, and the lock screw wouldn't tighten. I couldn't get the rotating cutting head to stay in one place.
Poor quality
Would Not RecommendI needed to make a 10 inch long cut of 1/8" float glass, but couldn't find my cutter. I haven't used it in many years. The Kobalt cutter is far inferior to my old one. It is a good thing that I had extra glass. I wish that I hadn't bought it. I have it one star, because there isn't a zero on the scale of stars.
Garbage Tool
Would Not RecommendWould not recommend purchasing this tool. Does not score the surface appropriately.
Location
Would RecommendSave yourself a lot of aggravation. This is not located in isle 15. Look in the tool area, along the front wall. Left side, close to bottom, and near the break-off box cutters. Whoever entered the location must've been referring to the glass cutting station.
Utterly useless
Would Not RecommendShould have checked the reviews first. This glass cutter is terrible at scoring glass accurately, utterly useless actually. Only a very specific angle will create a decent score, and the angle will easily vary as you go down the glass. Had 6 panes of glass to change, ruined 4 out of the 6, have to go back to buy more panes.
Handy tool!
Would RecommendGlad I happened to see this as I was checking out my sheet of plexi. Made the job very easy.
Step below a hammer
Would Not RecommendTip: When using this cutter, take your hammer and smash the glass. You'll just skip ahead to the end result.
Great product, love the handle & the extra blades
Would RecommendDo exactly what the directions say! But just know that cutting glass takes a lot of practice, & you will break a lot before you master it! It's not easy, take it from someone who's broken a lot of mirrors!
