Great design and features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this toaster to replace an older one and am very happy with it. Firstly, it's really good looking and is beautiful on the counter top. I love the color. Secondly, it toasts really well. It's easy to use and I really like the sound made when the toast is done, my old toaster didn't have that feature. All in all, another great product from Kitchenaid.

Uneven Toasting

Both sides produce a very uneven toasting. One side of the bread is completed the other has just started.

Pretty but not that great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product seems very cheaply made compared to the Kitchenaid toaster we are replacing. The old one is 17 years old. I'll be surprised if this one lasts 17 months. It doesn't toast evenly--one side of the bread is darker. I will likely return it.

Slow to toast

From new the outer elements do not light up like both middle ones, presumably this is why it is slow

Didnt last as long as I hoped.

This was a great toaster for a while. Then the cheap plastic lever broke, replacements are available but it will break again. Then sitting at about 4 years of service, it doesnt get very hot anymore. Toaster waffles take 7+minutes to get a slight tan on.

A reliable product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had to put a KitchenAid toaster to pasture. Considering I had it for over 12 years, I can certainly rely on this one to take its place. Also, it’s aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and looks great on my kitchen counter.

Disappointed

I purchased this toaster about a month ago and have tried different breads on different settings and it either burns the bread or barely toast it. I have several KitchenAid products that I am extremely happy with but this toaster is a very big disappointment.

Initially great

We got this 2 years ago, and have been fairly happy with it, but now the lever won’t stay down at all. This is too expensive of a toaster to have it give out on you after such a short amount of time (and of course only has a 1 year warranty!) very disappointed.
