Not recommended

Unevenly overcooks bread on the 1 setting. Scorches it completely if you use setting 2. It seems cheaply made but not cheap. I do not recommend purchasing this small appliance.

Nice toaster to look at, but runs very hot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a few other Kitchenaid appliances, so this toaster seemed like a no brainer. However, it does not have a variable setting, it only has five preset click settings. It burns toast on the lowest possible setting and I cannot prevent that. Pop Tarts are so hot on low that you cannot take them out right when they pop up. And I didnt know it beeped when it was done, first time scared me, but that was fine. HORRIBLE TOASTER !!!

BOTH TOASTERS BURN THE BREAD ON ONE SIDE !! AND THAT'S WHEN THE "SHADE" NUMBER IS AS LOW AS #1 !! DO NOT PURCHASE ANY TOASTERS FROM KITCHEN AID !!

Powerful toaster

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great toaster, but a little strong for delicate breads like hamburger buns, even at the lowest setting. Wide enough for bagels and it works great in Bagel setting, too. Only downside is not being able to turn off the beep alert. It's unnecessary really.

Good Toaster

Burns on 0

I bought this toaster in Feb 2022. The longer I have it the worse it gets. Burns my toast on 0. In beginning it was good on 2 then it got hotter and hotter. I put it on 0 today and toast was all but burnt. It is a very pretty red toaster but does not work. Hate it. Waste of money.

Buy this only if you like burnt toast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this toaster because our old one did not have an audible alarm when the toast was finished. This one does have an alarm, which works fine, but the toast is too dark even on the lowest setting. Any setting above the the lowest results in black toast.

Unhappy customer !!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a 4 slice toater, and was sent a 2 slice toaster. I called and said there was nothing they could do!! Even paid for a four slicer !!! Love KitchenAid, but very unhappy they did not help me !! In the past you could always count on them to resolve the issue and go above and beyond ti help !! Not this time, very very unhappy customer:(

Didn't last long

I received the toaster as a gift. The toasting dial is very sensitive and doesn't lock in when the darknessis select.. now the lever will not engage so therefore can't make toast. Any fixes for my issue. It's less than 6mons. old

Not a good toaster at all

Got this toaster and hated it. The lowest setting would always burn bread and not toast evenly. I Called Kitchen Aid and tried it on setting 3 (middle of the road) and smoke was rolling and the bread was black before it popped. She had another one sent to me. Same deal, you have to watch it and manually pop it or your bread will be burnt and it won't toast evenly. I put in a piece of raisin bread and before I could manually pop it, it was burnt.at the top and was actually not too bad at the bott...

Enjoy features

I truly enjoy the added features on this new toaster. It beeps when it’s done. Also I like the Manuel lift lever. I guess it shows you how old my old toaster was.

I find the Cancel button handy when toasting just a bit more but not a full cycle, too. Very glad I purchased this.

Good basic toaster

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this toaster for about 2 weeks and have used it 5-6 times. This toaster is not complicated and honestly that's what I like about it! The slots are large enough for wide, thick slices of bread. I haven't tried it with a bagel. I only take off one star because the lowest setting is still quite strong and sometimes I like a slice bread just veerrrrry lightly toasted. Other than that, I'm happy with this purchase and would buy this toaste...

Awesome toaster and Great Customer Service!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] About a year ago I purchased one of these toasters and it burnt everything. I contacted KitchenAid customer service and they replaced my faulty toaster with a new one. The new one has worked perfectly for the past year! I have several KitchenAid items and this stand up to the quality that I have come to expect from their products. I would highly recommend this or any other KitchenAid product.
