I was never totally enthused with the LG - not enough heat, did not always get dishes clean, the upper 3rd rack really only for flatware or utensils. Best Purchase of the Year!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought and installed this dishwasher, not only is it extremely quiet but it washes my dishes like my previous dishwasher never could. The third rack on top is perfect for coffee mugs and shallow bowls, the adjustable second rack allows for a ton of flexibility in putting in various loads. Best purchase of the year!

"Stainless" door rusted in one year

I have always loved KitchenAid dishwashers - quiet, stainless tub, easy to replace items. This is true for the KDFE104 as well. BUT, there is one bit difference. In less than one year, the front "stainless" door has rusted in two spots - where the steam vent is located (upper left) and the entire bottom section (feels like the panel slides into a slot). It looks awful. We think this must be a design flaw - never had this with our other KitchenAid dishwashers and seeing alot of complaints...

I can tell Kitchen Aid has been working to improve their product. I love that the door automatically opens when the drying cycle is complete. Love the top rack, and the new/improved basket for silverware.

Not as expected

The top rack gets stuck most of the time, so I hardly use it. The sizing feels off because it does not cover my entire kitchen space. The ProDry is not better than the HeatDry. There is some water moisture in the dishes.

Beauty and brains
