Good toaster otherwise

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this toaster for the retro look and have had another kitchenaid toaster that lasted 20 years. I liked it but must've had some glitches and needed to be replaced. I did with the next model up.

Good quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with this toaster. Wish there was a way to turn off the notification ‘beep’ when toast is done/pops up. It’s quite loud and freaks out our dog. :-) An important feature is that exterior is cool to touch.

Nice looking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Attractive & compact size & design. Easily cleaned exterior. Even browning of toast. Easy access crumb tray removal & cleaning. Only difficulty is removal of crumbs not collected in the tray.

Only BURNS Toast

I’ve owned this toaster for about 5 months now ... and it’s the WORST small appliance I’ve ever had. It only Burns toast, set on lowest (1) setting it’s on the edge of burnt, set it on 1.5 and toast is Black, set it on 4 one time and toast almost caught fire. KitchenAid needs to trash this toaster and start over, I have many many other KitchenAid appliances and accessories with NO complaints.

Sleek, but not so user friendly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for over a year now and have yet to use any setting higher than two. I’m not sure what you could possibly be toasting on the highest setting, because a plain slice of bread would definitely be burnt by that point. Other than that, it heats evenly, looks good, and the crumb tray is a nice feature.

Not as nice as I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been wanting a more modern toaster to replace the current one which was in good working order - it was from the 70's. The new Kitchen Aid toaster had to be replaced after a few weeks because it wouldn't keep bread in the toasting position- the lever wouldn't stay down. Also, it doesn't shine up and stay clean looking very long . Your company did send a replacement model but not the silver color I originally purchased.

Sharp looking

Doesn’t toast evenly

I got this toaster about a year ago and have tried multiple different settings and breads to see if I can get even one evenly browned piece of toast. It has yet to happen. I thought I’d give it some time but I continue to have issues and I’m very disappointed with this toaster. I had ordered it thinking a Kitchenaid toaster would be a quality product like their stand mixers but unfortunately it is not.

Nice & clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Clean lines on design look good. Easy to lean.Works great on toast and bagels. It does have a signal that goes off when the toast is done which I find a bit too loud. Can't sneak in any midnight snacks without waking someone else up.

Burns everything

I bought this toaster recently to replace a very inexpensive 4-slice toaster that I had for years. I love the way it looks. However, this toaster burns everything on the very lowest setting. Makes me wish I would have kept my other less expensive toaster. It still worked great - I was just looking to replace it with a more modern, smaller toaster. I am so disappointed. I have always counted on KitchenAid to have high-quality, reliable products. Definitely not the case with this toaster. ...

Awesome looks and works as advertised

Modern style
