Glass Bowl cracked

Initially loved the mixer. However, the glass bowl cracked and we also cannot find a replacement, so the mixer is now useless. What is the solution? Will KitchenAid offer a solution?

So disappionted

I love my Kitchen Aid. I use it all the time and especially at Christmas when I make Cinnamon Rolls and Yeast Bread. I am extrememly careful with it. I store it properly and only hand wash it. The lip broke a year or so ago and now the bottom busted out, cutting my finger on fragments. SERIOUSLY?! we all can agree that when we purchase one we plan to have it for years. Great Features

I purchased it a while but wanted to purchase another 6 qt glass bowl and found that can’t find one. I can’t believe that such an expensive machine and you don’t have a 6 qt glass bowl for it and can’t find it anywhere else. Dissappointed

Love the mixer, glass bowl cracks!

I absolutely love this mixer. However, the bowl has cracked and I can't find a replacement bowl. I only wash the bowl by hand, store it out of the way so nothing can damage it, and it just cracked on the lip of the bowl while washing. Now, I'm unable to use this mixer which is very upsetting!

Great Bowl for the Mixer

I bought this bowl for my wife for Christmas and found out it does not work with her 5qt mixer when are you going to come out with the glass 5qt lift stand mixing bowl

I was given this mixer as a gift a couple of years and my bowl just broke. I am very disappointed at the price of what a replacement bowl costs.

Don't buy the glass bowl

I love the mixer but Kitchen Aid has a serious problem with quality when it comes to this bowl. The one that came with my mixer cracked when I was washing it and I thought it was a fluke. I bought a replacement and it broke as well the same way. I wasn't doing anything that should have caused it to break. I'm out $200.00 in bowls. After reading other comments, its obvious I'm not the only one who has had this issue.

Loved it - until the top chipped

I only had this about six months (and had only used it a handful of times) when the glass chipped by the pouring spout. It had never been dropped, gone from cold to hot, etc. No usage out of the ordinary at all. It is most definitely NOT worth the price for something that can chip that easily (and of course you can't take a chance and use something like this for food with the possibility, however slim, of glass getting in someone's food).

It breaks or cracks easily

My daughter in law was washing and she bumped it cracked then broke. I have real apprehension to buy another glass bowl. Don't you make a metal one. I have a less expensive mixer, and it has a metal bowl, which I love

replaced 3 times

I have had to replace this bowl three times since owning this mixer over the last 2 years. It cracks and chips very easily. I am not a commercial baker but I do bake a lot for my family and on holidays. It is very disappointing to keep replacing such an expensive bowl!

Cracked Bowl!

I have two kitchenaid mixers, love them!!! But the glass bowl for my 6500 has developed a Crack in the bottom! I only handwssh my glass bowl and was so surprised when I saw the Crack. To be honest I think it is a flaw in the design! A replacement bowl is sooo expensive!

Love my mixer but the glass bowl has LARGE chip

Love the mixer but the glass bowl has LARGE chip and crack and is unuseable. SO disappointed. I have only used the glass bowl 5 or 6 times. I expected a better quality product from kitchenaid.

Don't get too attached

Truly a shame this company has not provided their customers the service of making replacement bowls available. This is such a great product... But it only lasts as long as the bowl!

Great, but...

This has been my primary mixer for years and I have only had glowing things to say. So easy to use, it is truly one of my most treasured kitchen appliances (and I’m a homeschooling mom of 4 - eating is 80% of what we do!). As others have experienced, my bowl recently chipped and can no longer be used. KitchenAid: how can you possibly sell this device without making suitable replacement parts available at a reasonable price?! Do the right thing and allow your customers to get what they need.

Break easily. Not worth the look. Wouldn’t buy again.

Heavy, breaks and chips easily

I'm on my second bowl already! Very difficult to wash by hand as it's extremely heavy. The first one cracked and the one I currently have has a huge chip in the top as well as a spider crack in the bottom.

Impossible to replace glass bowl

I bought this mixer a few years ago and love it, however i bumped the lip of the bowl at the spout and cracked it. Now I cannot find a replacement bowl anywhere. I have the stainless bowl, but the attachments do not go to the bottom on the bowl even when I adjust it. I need this mixer to be functional for my home cake business! Very dissapointed in Kitchenaid.

Love the mixer but bowl has large lip chip

I purchased my mixer dreaming of making cookies for the rest of my life with this beautiful mixer. But I was attempting to adjust the bowl and a huge piece broke off the lip. I attempted to replace with a six quart metal bowl from kitchenaide but it really does not fit properly. After reading all the comments here, I am not alone. There really needs to be a replacement bowl for this series or should a glass bowl never been associated with this professional series unit. Kitchenaide please help he...

Don't buy the pro mixer

I love my kitchen aide mixer. I have one that is 33 years old still going strong. I received a pro mixer for a gift a few years ago. I went out of town this summer and my daughter was washing the glass bowl and it broke. So disappointed! I have been trying to replace the bowl for the last few months, on back order. I should have read the reviews I would have returned the mixer. This is ridiculous! Kitchen aide should have never sold this bowl if they don't have the replacement bowl!!! ...
