Owned for 5 months before cracking

A glass jar fell from my kitchen cabinet and landed on the edge of my new KitchenAid's 6 quart glass bowl and broke off a large chunk of glass. I'm devastated that I cannot use my mixer and there are no glass replacement bowls.

Very fragile bowl

We got the 6500 about a year ago and have been enjoying it thus far (so much more sturdy than the tilt-head!). But eventually the glass bowl chipped, and we got a replacement bowl. Now, about a month after receiving the replacement, the new bowl chipped despite us being very careful. Not sure whether there are manufacturing issues with residual stresses in the glass.

Not quite right- and fragile

Mixer is powerful for making anything but attachementd don’t reach the bottom of the bowl so you have to scrape and turn over your bottom portion. And I cracked my bowl while doing stirring after lowing it to get to the bottom.

Bowl Easily Breaks

Was excited to get a bigger mixer, however, the bowl broke due to my daughter barely rubbing it with a spatula. She is 6 and almost cut herself on the glass as it feel into her. We love to bake together, but this really scared her. I am very disappointed because this is something we love to do together and are unable to use the mixer until I purchase I a new bowl.

bowl broke :(

My parents excitedly bought this mixer hoping to make bread with it. They went to wash it and the bowl slipped just barely an inch from the bottom the sink. It sadly broke. We’re really disappointed for it being such an expensive “heavy duty bowl”. It’s tough times because of the pandemic so it’s sad to say that we can’t afford another replacement bowl.

Attachments don’t reach the bottom of the bowl

I’m not happy with this mixer. The bowl is too deep, the mixing attachments don’t reach the bottom of the bowl so it doesn’t mix or whip well. I wish I can return it or get longer attachments.

Bowl broke after nearly four years of careful use

I love this mixer. It has been used weekly for nearly four years for bread dough, cookies, and mashed potatoes. We went to start baking cookies. When we (my kids and I) went to get the bowl to start a batch of cookies, it spontaneously broke at the spout. There were no indications that this would happen and we've always been gentle with it.

Disappointed

I thought I would really like this mixer however I seem to keep struggling with the bowl it is so heavy and it's hard to get on and lift up to mix trying to mix a product it does not touch the bottom have a bowl to thoroughly mix my product I have to lift the ball to get it to mix everything and now this is what happened. Cannot find a replacement bowl

Great Mixer fragile bowl

Purchased end of November and have only used it 3 times. The bowl cracked in a straight line from the spout all the way down to base without incident. It appears to be a flaw in bowl. How do I get a replacement?

Great mixer now useless - Replacement bowl ASAP

Not sure what’s going on with KitchenAid, but can’t get a response or call back regarding a replacement... can’t find one anywhere. Retailers are complaining about Whirlpool/KitchenAid and how there service has gone down hill too...

Love the mixer but the bowl is junk

I bought this mixer 2 years ago and have only used a handful of times. I hand wash the bowl, but it’s now broken and I can’t use it. I see this is a recurring issue. Would not recommend since I can’t seem to get a replacement bowl.

GOOD MIXER, BAD BOWL

Have had the mixer for 3 years, and while washing it out today my wife barely bumped it on the side of the sink and it chipped . Is there a stainless steel 6qt bowl that will fit this model. KF26M1QBZ. Kitchen Aid Pro 600 Deluxe Bowl lift.

Wonderful 6500 pro series

Reading many negative reviews here about this bowl breaking. I’ve used mine almost daily for two years and haven’t had an issue. I can’t imagine breaking this bowl unless you man handle it. Also people, you can purchase the 6 quart stainless bowl that fits just like the glass bowl on your 6 quart bowl lift KitchenAid. I have both and they both perform fabulously.

Mixer is wonderful, but my glass bowl broke, and can’t find replacement anywhere. Very disappointed, extremely expensive & can’t use!!!!

Lovely bowl but breaks easily

Bought this mixer with glass bowls for my daughters. Although being careful one still broke. Will replace with stainless one.

Great mixer but glass bowl cracked

I have the pro 600 design for 2 years & absolutely love this mixer. However, the bowl has cracked and I can't find a replacement bowl. I only wash the bowl by hand so nothing can damage it, and it just cracked on the lip of the bowl while mixing the dough in side the bowl . Now, I'm unable to use this mixer which is very upsetting!

I’m frustrated

Well seems like I’m having the same trouble as everyone else. Having a kitchen aid mixer was one of my dreams that came true when my husband gifted me for our new kitchen. Last night the glass bowl chipped and it had little pieces of glass all over the place. First, I thought this glass would be harder to brake. Broken bowl

I got mine as a Culinary School graduation gift. I was so so excited and proud. But the mixer doesn’t reach anywhere near the bottom of the bowl. Probably a 1/2 inch gap, which makes it useless for whipping things like eggs. I learned how to deal with this, and then the bowl broke! I’m in shock that it would break so easily.
