Non-working trash compactor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a trash compactor in June 2022. The product was delivered in July. The trash compactor stopped working a little more than a month later. We contacted Kitchen Aid for warranty repair. There were numerous parts to be ordered. We waited about two months for parts. The parts are still unavailable so we will be receiving a replacement this week. After owning for 6 months, we have only been able to use for 5 weeks

Replaced the one we had, but...l.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our first one was a bit over ten years old, and was great for that time. First new one would not operate to open and close. Ditto the second. The third works, BUT if we want to run it, we need to do so TWICE, or you cannot open it. After second run to compact, it is fine until next time. We were too tired of going through the process and settled for the inconvenience.

Great appliance

Super pack feature, Foot operated door opening.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took about a month-and-a-half for it to arrive on back order, but it was easy to install. I had to modify the Right hand (as viewed from the front) rear wheel mount as it was missing a screw hole that I needed for height adjustment. There are three mounting positions for the wheels, The left side mounting holes were all there, but they hadn't drilled the center position hole for the right hand wheel. Can’t believe I waited so long to have one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought as part of a remodel. This is well built and easy to use with great features. I have been throwing trash in for 2 weeks with plenty of room to spare. Would have filled 3 or 4 bags by now. Use solid pack at night and keeps it crushed. Amazing how much trash ends up in such a small bag. And big plus is room I now have under sink where I had a stinky barrel. Best appliance in kitchen.

My garbage Squasher Saves space in the can

Attractive and super easy to use!

So Far So Good

Quiet, Wouldn’t do without!

The first one was still working after 22 years but we wanted the stainless look when we redid our kitchen. It is very quiet and we get two weeks of garbage in it. Wouldn’t do without! Packs everything down.

Damaged before leaving factory?

I bought this a few weeks ago and it was delivered / dropped off at my home yesterday. Everything appeared perfect from the outside, no damage to the box whatsoever. I opened it up and there is a huge indentation at the top right of the door that seems to have practically knocked the door off. It is very wobbly and crooked. There is also a large dent on the right hand side near the back. Since the packaging was not damaged, I can only deduce that it was damaged at the factory prior to boxin...

Foot petal broke in less than a week

The flimsy plastic foot petal broke in less than one week. Pick a different compactor.

Looks Good…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced our 26 years old model with this one. Has the classic KitchenAid look that matches our dishwasher. The compactor seems to work fine. It feels like it is constructed a little “cheaper” than our old unit, so we will see how long it lasts. The foot pedal catches and doesn’t open the door easily. All of that said — there is not much to choose from competitively.

Trash compactor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The compactor works good but I absolutely hate the finish on the outside. It is not smudge / finger proog resistant. It us very hard to clean. I would not buy it again

Great Appliance

All performing well. The Kitchen Aid Compactor is a must have for convenience, cleanliness, and efficiency in the kitchen.
