fits perfect

the pedal drawer opener was difficult to get it to operate consistently. After making all the adjustments I could (lowering the front) I temporarily added some quality duct tape to the cam sections which helped a lot. I may order another pedal and attempt a more permanent solution.

Powerful but quiet

Does the Job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our volume of trash to put out has now decreased by two thirds, so it does what it's supposed to. Already had to access the warranty (after one month) though because the foot pedal broke off. Don't know why it is made of cheap plastic and everything else is metal.

Great Investment!

Much quieter than old trash compactor

My old compactor was a Kenmore and was as loud as loud can be! This new model is so much more quiet and that we really like. But it is not "hands free". Excellent product

The compactor allows us to put out only 1 bag of garbage/ week. There is anywhere from 2-14 people in the house every week. We would not do without one.

Galvanized track rails are junk

We purchased this as a replacement for our existing trash compactor. After waiting 8 weeks, the appliance arrived. After install, the door swayed 2.5” left and right. No adjustments could be made. Flimsy internal construction (looks great on the outside). As a result the out door slammed into our cabinetry. Great compactor, cheap plastic pedal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the compactor. Easy to install and saves a lot of trips to the main garbage can. However, after about 10 days, the plastic pedal snapped off. I don’t understand why the pedal is made of plastic!! I have been waiting for a new pedal from the company for a couple of weeks, but still nothing.

Broke

Foot lever broke after 3 days of use. my wife is a small thin women and not much pressure was applied to the foot lever and the plastic snapped

Amazing-once we got one not broken!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy we choose to get a trash compactor during our recent remodel. Our trash can is literally half as full as it was before! However-KitchenAid was a nightmare to deal with. It showed up broken from them and after months of repairs instead of just replacing right away, we finally got a replacement.

Quality control at Kiotechenaid is non-existant

My compactor is falling apart - less than 6 months. It took three months for Kitchenaid o send a new draw. That arrived broken as well. I replaced all of the major appliances in my kitchen, over $8k with Kitchenaid. This was the worst decision I have EVER made for household appliances. Total garbage.
