The problem arises, what is the right height for a microwave with a flip down door. The problem is people under 5 and half feet will have a difficult time getting into this microwave. Good Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't realize at the time that this had a knob to set the time versus a keypad. At first I was worried about this, but I have mostly gotten used to it. I still wish it had a normal keypad. The cooling fan/function runs A LOT after use which is annoying.

Beautiful, functional and heavy duty

Does not work

I’m using an old microwave from the 80’s on my counter top. But the new one sure does look pretty. Whatever. So disappointing.

Not as good as the old one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my 15 year old built in Kitchenaid microwave oven (after it died) with a new one that was also 1000 watt capacity. The new one does not seem as powerful. It takes 2-1/2 minutes to cook a bag of popcorn where the old one only took 2 minutes

Owned for 6 years, already paid $900 to fix

We own a built-in microwave/conventional oven combination. We've had them for about 6 years. Within the first year the spinner motor (that rotates the plate in the microwave) wore out. It cost $400 to fix, and the service person said this is very common to go out on KitchenAid microwaves. They skimp on that part, knowing that it needs to be fixed soon after buying it new. Then, we recently had to spend another $500 to fix a faulty switch that operates the microwave. I've owned microwaves ...

Then after paying for a repair, it again stopped working. Haven't had a working microwave in the kitchen for 3 years and I am THRILLED to have a brand new KitchenAid!!!!!

Great microwave with great capacity

The microwave controls are clean and easy. We really enjoy kitchen aid appliances and this microwave did not disappoint. Very satisfied!

brand new - so easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the way this works and the easy choice selections. What I wish was different was that the door opened to the side rather than down. Being on the short side it is difficult to get items in and out for me. Lowering the unit would make the lower oven too low.
