Great little built in microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a great little built in microwave. It's discreet ,built in the kitchen island. It's tucked away and there when I need to reheat something fast. We are not big microwave users so this size was perfect for my family's needs. I like that it's tucked away and not above the stove or taking up counter space.

Dangerous feature

I just bought this microwave and the door does not open all the way. One has to lift the item up while in the microwave and lift it over the edge of the door. I have been severely burned trying to use it.

1 year limit

Bought this microwave when we purchased our new home. Worked fairly well for the first year but after the second year some of the buttons didn’t work ie reheat cook and defrost. Called kitchen aid to fix it and they charge you $179 just to come out and diagnose it. The problem might be covered under the extended warranty but it seems steep for just coming out to diagnose. If you want a microwave that works properly for more than a year buy another brand, otherwise you’ll be shelling out a bunch ...

Size is good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the size as well as the interior. Wasn’t sure about a drop down door as I am short, but it has not been a problem. A little overpriced for a microwave oven; but I wanted oven and Mwo to match. Unfortunately, they don’ t match as the oven has a chrome trim around window and mwo does not. I am not a fan of the controls on this mwo. Most mwo’s you can walk up to and program them; nothing real logical here.

Everything from warming a cup of coffee to defrosting a roast is done in half of the time of our previous microwaves. The only drawback, if there is one, is that the pull down door can be a challenge to access the oven if this is installed at the typical height of an over the range microwave. Great built in. Simple install

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this unit above the matching oven and it looks fantastic. the only hiccup is the #10 TORX screws, it take a power driver to get them to start and thread into the unit and trim piece supports. The instructions are simple and the trim pieces fit perfect.

Beautiful but may have a few glitches

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for my new home only 2 weeks ago. I find that it doesn’t seem to heat my food consistently. I thought it was something I was doing wrong but I set the timer for desired heating, and my food would still be cold when the timer ended. I set the timer as I would on my previous microwave and it almost feels as if it doesn’t heat at all sometimes. Other times it’s so hot it’s like it’s over heating. LED light quit working

Purchased about a year ago and the LED light quit working on the first number on top, so the 7 looks like a 1. I guess appliances these days are built to last a couple years!

It is not the print free stainless, so every touch shows. Also our space to put it in was 27”, and so the choices were smaller.
