Generally Fine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The oven works generally fine. One flaw is the difficuty in seeing the control panel in low light. This could be solved by backlighting the panel. Such basic lighting should be a "given" to expect in 2021, so I'm a bit disappointed.

Chosen by builder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was part of the appliance package chosen by our builder - not our personal choice. We would be much better off with a side open microwave, as the unit is set above the oven and is therefore too high for heavy objects or easy cleaning. We also feel the 5 second feature does not work property.

Nice design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this microwave March 2020. I generally don't write a review until we have had the appliance for several years without repair issues but so far so good. The most attractive microwave out there.

Expected more from a high end microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had issues with our microwave and the door sensors. This caused it to not work correctly. Issue was fixed but we’ve not been impressed with the functions on device. There is no function for softening butter or melting butter! My old, much cheaper microwave could do that.

Excellent Quality and easy to use

Love It!

Perfect size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a fan of appliances sitting out cluttering the counter space and I did not like the drawer style. The microwave fits nicely tucked away in a cabinet nook. Most competitors did not offer such a perfect size for my kitchen.

Replacement Microwave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All our appliances were new... in our new home built in 2011. All were Kitchenaid architectural series. Our microwave quit working but had lived it’s useful life. We purchased this because it’s the current replacement model. It’s great. The only downside is the handle has been redesigned so it doesn’t match the rest of our appliances. Like the redesign and not easily detected by anyone who doesn’t know!

Great fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this microwave since it fit into my opening that accepts an oven only 24 inches wide. This narrow size is hard to find. I also bought the convention oven to match. However, I am not happy that the controls on the two ovens are very different.

Love this microwave!

Great looking unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only Possible future problem is the door closure switchs on both sides of the door are plastic and very pron to failure. Meaning that the door even though you have closed it, the indicator says the door is open. Needs better quality switches with better more positive contacts,

Looks nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this microwave about six months ago and it's a nice microwave and it looks really nice. It cooks well but the defrost doesn't work as well our old microwave, it takes twice as long to defrost something. Overall it is a pretty expensive microwave and the only reason we bought this one is because it is the only one that would fit the existing hole in our cabinet.

Less than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Paying top dollar for beautiful KitchenAid products is not a problem for me, unless their design flaws and malfunctions cloud my expectations. I am really too short for this, very difficult to reach to the back and clean with the front door pulling forward instead of to the side. Also from day one the microwave makes growling sounds and you cannot see inside the light is to dim. I put five pieces of bacon on a paper plate with paper towels, and...

disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Arrived with a door closure sensor problem. Part replaced in field, but still occasionally get a fault unless I give the door a good push closed. Frankly should perform flawlessly for the price and headache. Again, too expensive to have the issues.

Not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not great. Would definitely recommend the GE Advantim instead. Fan is loud, features are not as robust. Looks nice but not a great microwave for the money. Sorry KitchenAid...

Excellent Micro Wave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This MW matches all our other appliances and looks so sharp built into our cabinets. It looks like another oven rather than an add on micro. It is easy to use, powerful, quiet and has lots of features beyond the usual for a micro wave. If you want a great MW that will look great, this is the one.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only purchased this microwave because I had to replace the oven and I wanted them to match. there is only 1 small light inside and that makes it difficult to check on the food without opening the door. The buttons are inconvenient. I don’t like having to turn a knob for the seconds feature or having to press the minute button multiple times for multiple minutes.
