My older alarm required me to look at the unit to see what type of evevt triggered the alarm. Now I can hear the type of alarm and begin my escape sooner and still be able to identify the type of alarm to the 911 operator.

Combo unit
Very pleased with the product. Smoke and Carbon Monoxide combo is a clever idea. I just had a problem lining up the unit with the screws and it's slightly askew on the wall. A template with the package would have helped.
