Always ready for Tea

On our third Instahot. First one failed after getting a jolt of water pressure whilst replacing the water filter. I contacted Insinkerator and they promptly sent a replacement heater unit at no charge. The replacement lasted several years. It finally failed and I purchased a new one. Not AS hot as previous units(?) but nicely eliminates the Tea Kettle from the Kitchen counter. If you have a frequent need for hot water for brewing, the Instahot is money well spent.

Nice addition to our re-modeled kitchen

We really enjoy our Instant Hot device. It's great for tea, preparing frozen vegetables for the microwave, etc. The first Instant Hot we received was damaged; our plumber said it wasn't functioning correctly after he installed it. InSinkErator customer service was great about sending us a replacement, and covering the plumbers 2nd installation charges.

Would like to add...

...suggest recording the model and serial number before the installation. I could not access this information after the install under the sink. If the numbers were on the box it was hidden by a non-removable shipping label. Might be a good idea to include this as a step at the beginning of the installation guide. It is necessary for a complete registration.

Love the concept but device stopped heating water on the 87th day after purchase

Great concept and loved the instant hot water for the first 87 days after purchase. On the 87th day after it was purchased it stopped heating the water. Luckily I saved the purchase receipt and was able to exchange it at the store where I purchased it from. I fear it will stop working properly at some point after it goes out of warranty. I hope we haven't wasted our money on a product that's just going to die. However, as long as it works properly we love the instant hot water. We have our finge...

Excellent Hot Water Dispenser!

Spoiled maybe, but when I want really hot water, I want it "now!" This is wonderful for cleaning kitchen knives, making hot beverages, and rinsing wine glasses. This is my 4th one I have added to my kitchen in 4 homes - would not like my kitchen as well without it!

I love instant hot water but it was hard to install. It had a metal washer thing that didn't fit and the handyman had to go find another. Cost us more money and time in installation. New design from the old hot water makers I've had that only lasted from 5 months to a year, hopefully this one will last longer. Couldn't find the receipt from the last one so I had to buy new and they're more expensive now. Make sure you save your receipt and register your item. (I found mine after but too late, oh...

This a great product

I've had an InSinkEratotor instant hot water dispenser for years. This new model was easy to install. It gives our kitchen sink the modern look we were after while still maintaining the convenience of instant hot water.

Too early to tell as only installed in Oct. But performs as it should be.

This is the new model, We've been using the old models for the past 30 years, replacing them every 3- 4 years, the main problem have been the heater (copper case) and the faucet leakage. Hope the new model last much longer.

Completely satisfied with this item....excellent value. Used daily.

We use this item for Tea, soup, mac n cheese, etc. Temperature settings are easily fine tuned to desired temperature. Installation was simple but required an extra couple of hours for me since I did not have a power source that was always live under the sink and had to cut a hole in our granite counter top to install the tap. If you need to drill granite, be sure to purchase a diamond hole saw. .

Great product

This is a such a convenient product. We use this through out the day, whether it be for oatmeal, tea, hot chocolate or to fill pots to hasten boiling time. It is terrific.

The features of this product are conducive to a great experience!

This unit was easy to install. Looks great in the sink and produces very hot water as advertised. I haven't noticed an increase in power usage. This was a replacement which didn't last very long.

plastic collar and nut does not do a good job of staying tight.. Hoses could be a little longer because of deeper sinks and drain lines.

Replacement Easy - with some exceptions

I needed to replace the tank on an 11-year old Insinkerator Hot Water Dispenser. Turns out it IS MUCH less expensive to buy the head and tank together than to buy just the tank. That is what I did. The replacement was easy enough to install EXCEPT: -- the product did not come with a necessary compression fitting to connect to the water supply. Why not? -- It appears that there should have been a washer to between the dispenser head and the countertop, but there was nothing like it in the se...
